Don't own. :D

He was destructive. He had walked into her life, and just as fire destroys everything around it, he brought down her walls and everything she held to be true. He exposed her to a world so different than her own, and what she knew, and he led her further out.

He was unapproachable. Like an open flame, people were comfortable when at a distance from him. And he never got close either, in fear of burning those close to him to a crisp. But she dared to go further.

He was mysterious. Just like a wall of flame concealed what was burning, never letting anyone see what was burning, but allowing everyone to hear its cries for help, so did he. His many masks hid a lonely little boy, desperate for escape and love. Until now, no one had ever heard his cries. No one but her. But would she reach him before he too burnt away?

He was captivating. Just like a flame, he danced around, capturing everyone's attention and lighting fire to everyone's curiosity. When he held their gaze, his eyes flickered like a flame, holding their gaze, hypnotizing them. When she had first met him, the icy depths of her blue eyes had frozen the flame in his eyes. That day, he vowed to melt the ice in her gaze. What he didn't know was that he had melted the ice around her heart too.

He was alluring. He drew them in and let them get comfortable, before closing in on them, burning them away.

He was dangerous. He closed in on them, providing them with no means of escape.

He was ruthless. He showed no mercy, was deaf to their calls. Yet all natural elements have their superior. Ice could be melted with fire; fire could be doused by water. His weakness was her. But was she worth letting down his firewall?

Most importantly, he was a necessity. Just like humans couldn't survive without the warmth of fire, she couldn't survive without him.

As they walked away from each other without a second glance, Cammie smirked. Most people would say that their soulmate was like the air they breathed, the water they drank. But Zach was her fire.

AN: I know, not great, but I wanted to get it out. *Breathes out* Aah, now that that's off my chest, I'll go back to writing. :D
