Truth & Lies
They say its better to tell the truth,
but what if a person can't handle that?
What if it gets them killed?
Could you handle knowing that
you in essence committed them to death?
Lies are definitely easier,
and probably safer,
for everyone.
They killed him because I told
the truth,
lies kept him safe.
But I know the truth,
I know that my life always,
hangs in the balance.
The truth is that lies,
keep the people I love safe,
but the real truth,
prevents the lies from winning.
