Lillian paused. What was she doing? This wasn't her! She slept all the time and definitely didn't dream about strange girls who just pop into her life without any warning. Deep breaths, Lillian thought to herself, she's just a girl, I don't care about her like that. No, that's a lie, I do care about her. She's one of the most interesting people I've met, and she makes me feel special. Lillian sighed, she can't even tell herself this isn't right.
"LT? What are you thinking about?" Roomie innocently inquired. Lillian just looked at her, trying to figure it all out. Roomie is great, Roomie makes being awake bearable, Roomie flirts with me, Roomie likes me for me. A small smile forms on Lillian's lips. Roomie tilted her head to the side, a curious expression on her face. "What are you smiling about Lazy Tyke?"
"You," Lilian faintly whispered. One of Roomie's eyebrows raised in confusion.
"Me? Why would you smile about me?" Roomie asked almost too innocently, a smirk emerging on her face.
"I lo-" Wait. Ishouldn't say that. Lilian pondered for a minute, her smirk showing more and more. Roomie loves everyone, she wouldn't understand what I was trying to say. Quick, think of something before she notices too much! "I lost a bet with Jo, and I have to kiss you at the bar tonight," Roomie laughed. Good save Lilian, now she gets what she wants and you do too, but not all you want. And now you have to talk to Jo before Roomie does so you can keep this lie going.
"You lost a bet with Jo?" More laughing from Roomie. "Oh this is gonna be priceless! You know, we could practice a bit before the big show," Roomie winked at Lilian. The scarlet hue of a blush was creeping up on Lilian's cheeks.
"I-I-I, well that, Roomie I-" Lillian stammered, her mind getting fuzzy. Roomie saw the discomfort of Lilian and leaned towards her.
"Or, we could just do a complete run-through of the play, which starts with our lips touching, and ends with us falling asleep together, naked," Roomie husked in Lilian's ear.
"God damnit Roomie! Just take me now!"
