Namine let out a cry of frustration. She'd been working on fixing Sora's memories for almost a year, now, yet every time she'd remove one memory of her, the one that she had just undone was right back in his memories.

Strangely enough, the memories where she had replaced Kairi with herself were fixed. It was just his memories of Castle Oblivion that were being stubborn. She wouldn't have been so frustrated if she wasn't in love with the boy. Each time she had to remove a memory of herself hurt. She was beginning to feel that someone was intentionally sabotaging her work.

She had just removed the memory of their first true meeting, only to find that the memory of when he first awoke in Castle Oblivion intact once more. Her patience spent, she went up to the chamber holding Sora's sleeping form and began shaking his unconscious body to relieve the frustration.

"Why? Why won't you just let the memories of the Castle stay gone?" she then began to break down in tears, imploring "Don't you know how much it hurts to do this? I love you, but you're supposed to love Kairi. I…I just need to fix you, but, I'm trapped. I just want you to be happy with me, but you heart belongs with her, and it would be selfish and wrong. Please… just let me fix you."

Her anger spent, she walked off with tears in her eyes. She was halfway to the door, when a hand grabbed her wrist tightly.

She turned and saw Sora, leaning on his Keyblade for support, holding her wrist.

"Sora… Please go back to sleep," she pleaded.

"No, Namine," he said softly, not letting go of her wrist

"B-but, I haven't fixed your memories, yet.

"Yes, you did."

"But, you still."

"Remember you and the castle? Well, I don't plan on forgetting you, Namine. I love you."

Namine fell silent, shocked, then said hurriedly, "But I kept trying to remove them. The memories kept getting reattached…"

She broke off, having an epiphany, and shouted, "It was you!"

"I didn't want to lose you," he replied, "and it turns out being the Keyblade master allows me to put my memories back if they are removed, as long as I'm aware of the fact that my memories are being messed with."

As he said this, he pulled her into a gentle kiss. She eventually returned it, feeling extremely happy.
