The Cabinet

Rating: Safe.
Summary: Scully finds something interesting. One shot.
A/N: Let's pretend that Scully and Mulder have a cute little daughter named Melissa! This a short little fic I thought of. Please R&R!
Scully opened the door to her home, feeling the heat flush her face and warm her cold cheeks. "I'm back," she yelled through the house. She quickly closed the door attempting to keep out the cold February air.
She expected a three year old toddler to come running to her to attack her legs with hugs and kissed, but she frowned when she only heard Mulder yelled from his office.
She took the brown paper grocery bags that filled her arms to the kitchen and sat them on the table, along with her keys. She shrugged off her long tan trench coat and tossed it on the back of a chair. Pulling her hair behind her ear, she reached into a bag, ready to put the new food away.
She stopped when she heard a soft sigh. She glanced around the kitchen until her eyes fell upon the cabinet under the sink. She slowly opened the cabinet door seeing a little foot covered in marker.
She knelt down to see her three year old toddler curled up, sound asleep. She wore only a pair of underwear with tiny pink hearts and her body was covered in streaks of permanent marker. She held cap less markers in each of her hands.
The inside of the cabinet door was also covered in doodles in a language that probably only made sense to her. Scully chuckled. The cabinet was her hiding place when she was bored or knew she had done something wrong. Scully kept it clear of chemicals, given her a small blanket and decorated it with pictures of her favorite things.
A smile spread across her face. She pulled out her Blackberry and took a quick picture for keepsake.
"Oh, you found Melissa I see," Mulder said behind her, kissing the top of her head. He opened the fridge and pulled out a can of Sprite.
"Yeah. This little girl amazes me. She has your curiosity, which is a little scary," she said chuckling. "Did you know what she was doing?"
"Well, I knew where she was," he replied.
