This will be full of short stories, drabbles, oneshots, you name it. It's a companion fic to "Happy Collector", the Gruvia counterpart of that universe. It's actually connected the 3rd chapter of "Happy Collector".
Basically, it's story where FT characters are idols/musicians in Japan. Levy, Lucy, Erza, Juvia and Cana are in an idol group named Fairyz. Gajeel, Natsu, Gray and Elfman are in a group named Elements. For more info (or if you like Gruvia), please go read "Happy Collector".
Title comes from "True Love" from P!nk, because this song screams GaLe. And this particular drabble, is inspired by the song "I to U" by Kanjani8. Only to have a turning-to-puddle Levy.
I do not own Fairy Tail.
Enjoy!
True Love: You and Me
Levy smiled as the CD played. She had finally got her hands on Elements' new album and she was planning to listen to it with no interruption.
What was fun about listening to her friends, that she considered some as brothers, was that she could criticize, make comments or simply think new ideas for their next songs. She liked to analyze how they had played, sang, recored or any little details she could find. It was like a book: seeing beyond words, seeing the double meaning and understanding the sense of each words were.
She liked to hear how Elfman hit on the toms and the snare ("Like a man!" he would say), she liked to hear Gray's cool sound and the way his fingers just slipped on the bass, she liked Natsu's emotional voice, that could make anyone have shivers from any lyrics he'd say. Lyrics often written by Gajeel.
More than anyone in Elements, she liked Gajeel's guitar the most. She liked the ardor he'd play, the way she could hear the pick stroking the cords, sometime slowly, sometime strongly. She liked the lyrics he wrote, the stories he wanted to say, the way it fitted in perfect harmony with the group, the way he always seemed to find the right words.
She liked him. She now pretty much sure she loved him. But it was so tricky with him. They didn't have the best start, yet they could now talk hours about music and lyrics. Even if they had different tastes and music as their only common ground, they still found the way to stay and talk (even if she did most the talking) for hours.
But they was no way they could be together. First of all, he wouldn't be interested in her in that way. And second, she was an idol. FTE was one of the few agencies that allowed dating but she still couldn't take a chance. And anyway he wouldn't be interested.
She shook her head. Now was not the moment for depressing thoughts.
The CD continued as she analyzed what he contained till the last song. The infamous love song.
Natsu had discovered this "cheesy as hell" (as he had said) song in Gajeel things and they had decided to use it for their album. Little did they knew that Gajeel often wrote love songs, he simply wouldn't talk about it as they didn't fit Elements' image, to his mind. She had stumble on it once but he had soon react saying it wasn't worth it. Levy had always been curious since then.
The song started and Levy's heart started to melt. She had forget all about analyzing the song. Even if it wasn't him singing, she still could feel his presence, the atmosphere he had created, the love he was giving. It wasn't the typical image you had of Gajeel yet it was so... him.
Levy felt herself blushed till the tip of her ears as the thought: "What if it was for me?" traveled in her mind. All uncertainty had been threw up the window and daydreams started.
The song ended and before she could stop herself, she put the song on repeat. She then muffled a scream in her pillow.
"I got it bad."
The end.
I am marking the story as complete as I do not know when I'll update it. Please don't expect much. (Sorry.)
