Sonic walked through the park, he had been thinking hard about Blaze, he wanted to start a relationship with her, untill he heard singing..
"Baby mine, don't you cry Baby mine, Dry your eyes"
Sonic flicked an ear every direction, staying silent to pick up the source of the voice. He followed the voice untill he found a figure on a bench.
"Rest your head close to my heart Never to part, baby of mine"
Upon closer inspection, he found it was the girl he was thinking about..Blaze. He kept quiet so she could sing.
"Little one, when you play Don't you mind what they say Let those eyes sparkle and shine Never a tear, baby of mine"
Sonic stepped closer, making sure to stay silent, he wanted to stay, but her voice was attracting him like a magnet.
"If they knew sweet little you They'd end up loving you too All those same people who scold you What they'd give just for the right to hold you"
When Sonic was only a few steps behind her, he sat down silently, so she could finish, not wanting to be rude.
"From your head down to your toes You're not much, goodness knows But you're so precious to me Sweet as can be, baby of mine"
When she finished, she heard clapping behind her, she turned to see Sonic standing, giving her his famous grin, clapping his hands. "Beautifull, Blaze." Blaze blushed a little, "Well..it's a song my mother used to sing.." Sonic stepped closer, "Oh?" She nodded, sitting as he did. "It was a lulliby." Sonic scooted closer, "Hey, Blaze uh..I wanted to talk to you.." She turned, "Yeah?" He nodded, then looked up, "We've known each other for a while now, and well..I sorta..kinda...love you.." He shut his eyes, waiting for a slap, or 'I love someone else', or 'get lost'. When none came, he opened one eye, then the other. He found her smiling at him, "Sonic.." He swallowed the lump in his throat, "Yeah?" instead of a responce, she kissed him. She let it linger, building warmth between the two, as she pulled away, needing air, she whispered, "I love you too."

Author's notes: I was listening to the song "Baby Mine" one day, and got inspired to write this. I was originally gonna use SonAmy, but I like SonBlaze better.
