Hello :) This is my first time in a long time to write again. I'm not even sure if I still remember the characters right. Fogive my spelling and grammars, too.

And I think I'm being too ambitious with making this a crossover with Gundam Seed-Destiny Astray. I really don't know any of the Astray characters but I'm not fond of making Original Characters that's why I'm gonna use them instead. I read most of their profiles at wiki and use that as my base for their characteristics.

Comments and suggestions are very much welcome. Really. I need those :)

Summary: When old friends leave, new ones move in. But that doesn't mean you can't have both. Post GSD. With GSD-A.

Prologue

"You - You're leaving, too?" she asked the young man sitting in front of her desk.

Violet eyes finally meet hers. "I'm sorry. You know I tried. But I need her. And she needs me now more than ever. The PLANTS council is eating her up there. I can't stay here doing nothing."

But what about me? She silently asked back.

"Please – understand," he continued.

I do. Not fully but I really do. And that's the hard part. She was about to voice it out when her intercom beep. She raises her hand signing to hold his thought while she answers the call.

"What is it? Okay. Hold him up for the next hour. Thanks" Putting the phone down, she looked back to the young man. She knows there's really no stopping him now that he's decided. She's going to miss him.

She released a breathe. "Go ahead and pack. I'll let Kisaka process your papers as soon as possible."

His violet eyes shine, lips smiled. "Really?"

"Really."

"Thank you, Cagalli," he said as he went near her.

She smiled back, "No biggie." Standing up, he pulled him to a hug. He was caught by surprise but none the less, he hugged her back. He whispered, "We'll still talk every now and then."

I hope so. "Yeah."

Hearing her intercom again, he released her. "Well Chief Representative, I must go now so as not to go in your way."

"You know you're not in my way," she quickly replied. The beeping still continues.

He chuckled lightly. "I know. But I still need to go now."

She looks at his retreating back. Please, change you mind.

He opened the door and turned back half-way, "Cagalli. Really, thank you."

Please don't leave me like them. Like him. "You're welcome."

"You're going to see me before I leave right?"

"Of course." I don't think I can.

He nodded his head and smiled. And finally, went out of the room.

Her intercom is still beeping. But she doesn't feel answering it. One tear fell. Another one followed. And another, and another. I'm all alone now. Why?

She re-read again the papers in her desk. Kira's resignation in Orb Forces and request for recommendation to ZAFT. Great.
