I Wish I'd Never Left

Raven's PoV Poem. Background: Raven just saved Yang from Neo on the train. She, then, reflects on her feelings about leaving and how she wish she never had.

I Wish I'd Never Left

A place by your side

is all that I seem to find

that I ever dream about.

But now that you've grown

I find that I've never shown

that I wish I'd never left.

I follow a path

that I know will never last

in the hopes to save you.

Then, just as I see you,

I find that you knew

that the world is in danger.

I hope you will see

what this is to me

and won't show me hate.

Because, since I joined this,

I know that you wish

that I wish I'd never left.

But, know this, my child,

that the world is truly wild,

and I only try to protect.

You truly don't know

how I could ever go

away from even you.

But know this, my child,

I have missed your smile,

and hope to see it soon.

I find that I feel,

and this will always be real,

that I wish I'd never left.
