"Oh, Harry, Kagome!," Molly Weasley exclaimed. "It's so good to see you again. Do come in, dears."
With a swift movement, she gathered the two teens into her arms into her arms in a hug and ushered them inside.
"Thanks, Mrs. Weasley," Kagome flashed her a smile.
"Yeah, thanks, Mrs. Weasley," Harry agreed.
The Burrow was just as cozy as the last time Harry visited, a year ago, during the summer before his second year. Handmade quilts and mismatched chairs were littered throughout the homely place, a battered wooden table could bee seen in the open dining room off to the right. Bill was sitting at the far end, waving at the two.
"Hello, Bill," Harry greeted. Kagome waved back at the red-haired Gringotts worker. Bill mouthed something back at them, but didn't truly say anything. George poked his head in and also mouthed something at the two visitors, who looked at each other in confusion.
"Are they all right?" Kagome asked.
"Oh!" Mrs. Weasley gasped. "Silencing Charm. Prepare yourselves, dears."
She waved her wand and canceled the charm. Neither had time to comprehend what the woman said before they were overcome with a dull roar of sound. Kagome clasped her hands over her ears while Harry flinched.
"Just a minor mishap, dears!" Mrs. Weasley yelled over the noise. She moved into the dining room where Bill sat. She motioned for them to follow and sit. "One of Arthur's stupid Muggle experiments again. Best that you two do not go in there."
Bill laughed, but it could not be heard over what was coming from the kitchen. Kagome gave Harry a questioning look.
Muggle experiments?
He shook his head her way and smiled to himself.
"Harry!"
Fred entered the dining room through the swinging door. As the door swung, they could see Ron, George, Charlie, and Mr. Weasley with their wands out and a toaster spewing fire and flying around.
Bill must have seen their surprise because he reassured them next. "Don't worry, there are Fire Repelling Charms everywhere in there."
Fred nodded. Just as he was about to speak up, loudly because of the noise, they could hear Ron yell.
"What? No, you blasted—GIVE MY WALLET BACK!"
"You all right in there, Ron?" Harry shouted, hands cupped around his mouth to make his voice travel farther. Kagome laughed.
"HARRY? JUST YOU WAI—I CAN'T TALK NOW, I'VE GOT TO GET MY WALLET OUT OF THE TOASTER!"
