Takes place during episode… 10 or 11, I can't remember which. The night of the full moon.

---

Kiba is grateful to have many things. He is grateful to have his fangs, his ears, his arms, his legs, his mind. He is especially grateful for his claws, which he plans to use to brutally kill Darcia.

But sometimes, what he is grateful for most of all is his eyes.

And tonight is such a night.

The others are all asleep, huddled against rocks or merely laying on the grass, worn out from their night of celebrating the full moon. Only two remain awake.

Kiba is watching her, as she dances on the water. He takes in every slight movement of her arms, every single twirl, the peaceful smile on her face, her glistening wet hair.

It is for times like these he is grateful to have eyes.

Normally he never wishes to be able to write well. But now is such a time, and he wishes to put into words her beauty, her serenity, the twirl of her arms and legs. He tries; but whoever thinks just because wolves are dignified means they're good at poetry is dead wrong.

He cannot come up with the words, so he merely gives up and continues watching her – and he notes that, when she turns in his direction, her gaze is fixed upon him – and he vaguely wonders why he enjoys seeing her dance so much.

She finishes her dance, and climbs out of the water. He is slightly surprised as she walks over to him. She stares at him with blood red eyes – ironic that he likes to look at them so much, since he doesn't especially like looking at blood – and smiles.

"Is Kiba having trouble getting to sleep?" she asks. "Shall this one sing a song to help him sleep?"

He knows that he can fall asleep whenever he likes, and that it really was not necessary. But she wants to sing, and he wants to hear her sing.

"Yes, I'd like that," he replies.

The end. Just a short little drabble. Kira's probably so OOC. XD
