"If I told you I love you, would you run away?"

"No."

"Would you lie, and secretly hide in shame?"

"No."

"Would you deny your emotions for me?"

"No."

"Then why have you already done so?"

"I haven't!"

"Why can't we be together?"

"We…we just can't!"

"Give me another one of your excuses. I've grown so fond of them!"

"Please don't do that to me!"

"You've done it to me. One day, you'll realize your mistake."

"But you already know that I care about you!"

"Explain why we can't express that!"

"It…it just wouldn't work!"

"I find your reasoning is invalid…"

"Its more than that!"

"You're right, it is. Its about our statuses, its about reputations. I understand, goodbye Téa."

"Seto! Please don't leave me! I love you! I love you a thousand times over!"

"Like you said, we can't. We just can't."

She whimpered, "…Seto…I love you…"

He whispered, "…I love you too…"

Their quiet relationship shattered, as Seto's depressing form sucked Téa back into reality. A reality Téa didn't want to take part in, unless she coexisted with Seto.

He sauntered away, and there wasn't too much of a damn thing she could do about it.

The man she loved was leaving because she couldn't stand up for them. She was too afraid, to be dating the rival of her friends. He was supposed to be a character in her life that was close, yet distant, a shady kind of guy.

No, she wanted more than that, she saw what was within and she had to have him.

She had to have him, if so, why was she letting him go? And so easily? That was not the Téa she knew, she had to stop him.

She ran faster than her long legs ever ran before, she needed him! Seto needed her, much more than he'd admit, or like to admit. This was her chance, his chance, their chance! She couldn't just let it slip through her fingers!

After all, people usually regret what they hadn't done, rather than what they did do.

A/N: I wrote this because its actually something I had to deal with exactly a month ago...except I'm still in the standing there kind of mode...well let me know what you think about the story!
