The Next Great Adventure

A/N: Written to satisfy a bunny by Treck.

Slowly regaining consciousness, Albus Dumbledore was slightly confused about his current whereabouts. It took a few moments before the aged Headmaster realized where he was and what had occurred.

His thoughts were interrupted as everything went white and a booming voice rang out from behind him, "Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, You are here facing charges of crimes against humanity, genocide…" The Voice trailed off looking at his notes for a moment before clearing his throat and trying to hide the small blush forming on his cheeks.

"I apologize; I got my cards mixed around. You wizarding folks are really messing around with us with all the killings going on right now," The Voice rang out again.

It might have been Dumbledore's imagination but he thought he heard The Voice mutter something about 'bloody brits.'"

Clearing his throat again, The Voice continued, "As I was saying. Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, this is, as you have no doubt guessed, The Next Great Adventure. It is here, where everyone goes after they die in the mortal world. It is here, where you stand that so many others have before you. It is here, where I will decide your fate.

"You stand accused of Abuse of Power, 328 counts of manslaughter, and being an idiot to round things out nicely."

Dumbledore seemed confused. What was going on? The only human he ever killed was Grindelwald and what was that about being an idiot?

The Voice started again, "The plaintiffs in this case are as follows…" The Voice listed off 325 names that Dumbledore recalled as former students and friends that had died during his tenure as headmaster.

"The chief complainants are Sirius Orion Black, Lily Ann Potter, and James Edward Potter. They are also acting on behalf of Harry James Potter who, is not here with us at this time."

The all consuming white gave way to a courtroom setting. At the front of the room sat The Voice, with his notes, on a raised stand. To his left and right sat the 328 plaintiffs. And he sat, shackled to a chair in the center of the 'room.'

It was obviously a good thing that time wasn't a concern around here. They started around 1942, the year that Myrtle was killed by the basilisk. The entire audience watched as they reviewed every highlight of the time that followed until his death. Every complainant had a chance to voice there thoughts on anything they needed too.

The worst of the accusations came from the Potters and Sirius Black, who walked through the room and gave a blow by blow recount of all of the aged headmasters errors and misjudgments concerning Harry Potter.

By the end of their rants he couldn't stand to look any of them in the eye anymore. He hadn't realized how much his manipulations had cost everyone until now.

The Voice came back to the forefront again. "Your sentence has been chosen Albus Dumbledore. You have indirectly, or directly, cost the lives of 328 people, you have used your power in the wizarding world to make choices that were 'for the greater good,' and your manipulations concerning one Harry James Potter have almost led to the ultimate destruction of the mortal world.

"You will spend your time in the afterlife reliving each of the complainant's lives, over and over again for the rest of time. I can only hope that you will learn that there is always more to 'the greater good' than sacrificing those you deem unworthy to live.

"You will start your sentence by reliving Sirius Black's twelve year stay in Azkaban prison due to your inaction.

"Adjourned."

A/N: I hope this is what Treck had in mind for this bunny. If not, sorry. I may write something else with the Potters and Sirius actual comments but this will do for now.
