I was reading the saddest story of all time.
Tears fell from my cheeks as I read.
it was just so sad.
"I shall kiss thy lips." I read.
And...
"KC!" Chazz yells.
I jump and see him standing next to me.
"Jezz! Chazz! Can't you see that I'm reading! When I'm reading you NEVER interrupt me." I said to him.
He looked at me like he knew it.
"What is it?" i asked with a sigh.
"Don't you know what time it is?" Chazz pointed at the watch my brother gave him. Really I picked it out.
"No."
"It's time for the movie to start. Jaden and Alexis are waiting." Chazz says.
"And so is Atticus and Syrus. Fine. I'm coming." I said. I stood up and started walking with him.
It wasn't far for the movie theater to walk to.
"There they are!" I hear Syrus say.
I see my brother Jaden and Alexis. No Atticus. Good.
"What took you so long?" Alexis asked.
Jaden looked at the book in my hand.
"Your reading that again? I'm telling you that is your favorite book." He says.
"What book?" Syrus asks.
"Romeo and Juliet. By The Shakespeare." I told him.
"The tragic love story of all time?" Alexis questioned.
"What is so great about that book?" Chazz asks.
"Um...The story of two star crossed loved bound to forever hate and be enemies for life times. But they share a secret love for each other. And they see each other every night and declare their love for each other. Undying. Never ending. And despite all the world's hate. They both die. Poison. Thinking Juliet was poison he poisoned himself and when she heard she kissed him and hied with him. It's sad but so beautiful." I explain.
Chazz wiped the tears falling off my cheeks.
"It's just a story." He reminds me.
"I know. But still...It makes me think. Are any of us going to have a love like that." The boys are silent but Alexis...Laughed.
"What?" I ask her.
"KC. Love like that is real. It just is in different forms. Like the way you and Chazz are. Your have your own cute ways of being close. It may not seem romantic but it's just the perfect balance of a bond. Understand?" She says.
I tilt my head to the side.
"I guess. So we may not act like it...Our relationship is a strong and powerful love at heart?" I made sure I got it.
Alexis laughed again.
"Sure like that. Let's go inside and see this movie!" She shouted and ran inside.
Jaden and Syrus ran in after her.
"Hey." Chazz looked at me.
I look up at him with a smile.
"My Romeo. Your charming in your own way." I tell him.
"You knew exactly what Alexis was saying." Chazz grins.
"Yeah. i just like hearing other people say the mushy stuff. Really. This is a stupid romance. No man, nor woman it worth your life if your at war or it's forbidden." I say.
Chazz chuckles. "Depending on the people, it is worth everything." He says to me.
"Really Chazz." I smirk.
"Yes. I'll crawl ti the ends of the earth for you, KC." He kisses me on the head.
"I love you too, Chazz." Even if he never says it. I just know it in my heart.
Maybe that's the way Romeo and Juliet felt. No matter what happened their hearts loved each other.
