"You never told me you knew how to wrestle," Rob Van Dam grinned sarcastically as he watched me in the ring. Sliding out between the ropes, I rolled my eyes.
"You never asked." I said just as sarcastically. I wore a proud smug smile on my face, knowing that would get him interested. If it was smug, it was RVD for sure.
I threw my gym bag over my shoulder and headed out of the ring. I didn't turn back to look behind me, but I knew he was following me. "Let me alone, Rob," I grinned. He darted in front of me and blocked me from going anywhere.
"Coffee. With me. Later. Please?" He grinned. He pointed to himself. "I am Rob Van Dam."
"Please to meet you." I sighed and set my bag down. "Listen, Rob. Really, I'd love to have coffee, but I am just so busy right now. I've got matches and stuff."
"So do I, but it doesn't stop me." He pouts. "…Please? I'll make it worth your while, Amy. I really will. I'll even pay for the drinks!"
I laugh. "What a gentleman." I noticed how really desperate he was for a coffee date. What could I do? Turn the guy down? He really is lovable, after all. "Oh, all right. But if it isn't worth my while—"
"Oh. Trust me, Amy. It's going to be GREAT." He smiles, and takes my gym bag. His eyes dart back and forth around the hallway, and he tries to make small talk.
"Ever have coffee at the Steaming Mug?" He asks, referring to a nearby café.
"…No, but I hear it's really good."
"It's cool."
"Boy, we didn't see that one coming."
"Hey, it's cool."
