Ghost Whisperer: Black Sabbath
Friday, February 13th, 2011. Exactly 12:00 midnight on the nose.
Melinda lie in bed, alone. Jim had gone to work due to an emergency. She hadn't seen any ghosts for a week. Little did she know that there was trouble arising from the dead. There was a slight tapping on the window pane. Melinda looked up from the book she was reading to see a black figure standing at the foot of the bed. But how did it get there? Hadn't there been a tapping on the window pane? It's just my imagination running wild after the horror movie, she decided.
The day before, she, Jim, and Andrea with a couple other friends went to see the film The Shining, which was based on Stephen King's best-selling novel. She had to admit, it had scared her senseless. No more horror movies for her. The room had suddenly dropped to a very cold temperature. Melinda shivered, dropping her book in the process. The black figure had shifted to the other side of the room, where it stood watching every move. "What do you want?" Melinda called softly. Its eyes glowed red. It reached a large arm out to her. Melinda jumped away.
This was no ordinary ghost: This was a demon, she was sure of it. Yet, she had never been haunted by a demon before, so why now? And why on Friday the 13th? "Stay away," she ordered, her voice trembling as she spoke. Instead of obeying her, the black figure stepped an inch closer. "Stay away," she repeated, in a more steady voice now. The black figure wasn't listening. It seemed it was defiying her purposely. Which she didn't like. Most ghosts tended to listen to her.
But she reminded herself that this was no ghost. It was a troubled demon. Still, it needed Melinda's help. Melinda stepped foreward. The black figure let out a blood-curdling shriek, and Melinda jumped on to the bed, terrified. Melinda was shivering uncontrollably. The black figure vanished. On the wall was written the number: 666.
