This is what should have happen in season 5 after episode 5!!
--What exactly is this thing??--
"Lucas!" have you seen my black, high heels?" Lindsey yelled to Lucas from the bed room.
"Check under the bed!" Lucas yelled back, from the kitchen.
Lindsey's stress level was sky rocketing, they were going out to eat with Haley and Nathan, Brooke, Mouth, Skills and Bevin, and Peyton. She just couldn't get used to the idea of Peyton being here. Brooke was okay. She was actually the best, but Peyton was different. Peyton was one of Lucas' longest girlfriends. He had truly loved her and Lindsey wasn't sure if he was over her. The way he looked at Peyton was unnerving. He should be looking at her that way, not Peyton. He said he loved her, but she wasn't sure. Lindsey found her high heels right where Lucas had said they were and headed to the kitchen.
Lucas was leaning against the counter dinking his coffee idly staring at the ground. He was thinking about Peyton. His mind would not leave her. Why was he thinking of her? He was with Lindsey for goodness sakes! It just wouldn't stop. One question after another; like, why did she never come back or why could he never move on? This wasn't like him. He had changed. He loved Lindsey. He truly did, but Peyton was the one he saw in his future.
"Lucas, you there?" Lindsey waved a hand in front of his face. He had been caught up in his thoughts. They would not leave him. This worried Lindsey. "Hey, we have to leave or we'll be late," Lindsey stated matter of factly. "Oh, okay. Just give me a sec. to grab my jacket, do you want yours?" Lucas asked caringly, like he said he loved her, but she wasn't the one he loved with all his heart. Lindsey would always have a place in his heart, though. "Yea, sure grab my green coat, thanks."
"Gladly, anything for you," Lucas said. Setting the coffee mug in the sink, he headed to the hall closet.
The ride to the restaurant was a quite one. Neither Lucas nor Lindsey said a word. They were both engrossed in their own thoughts. Lucas pulled into a parking spot just around the corner from the door. Lindsey turned to look at him. "What is bothering you?" She asked.
"Nothing. Why?"
"Nothing, I was just wondering. You have barley said a word since we left," she said slightly hurt.
"I'm just kind of stuck writing my book. I was on a role now I'm just stuck," he expertly lied.
"Oh," his lie did not pass her.
"Okay let's go."
"Let's head in."
"Alright, after you."
They got out of the car.
Let the games begin!!
