AN: Sora, Roxas, Kairi and the Heartless do not belong to me.

He looks so innocent while he's sleeping. You'd never guess he was the formidable Keyblade Master, not with his hair falling over his face like silk. I much prefer it like this, I can run my hands through it – that's difficult with his usual spikes.

Sora rarely takes a break from fighting the Heartless, even though all the rest of us keep telling him he must. He listens to me, for reasons we're keeping secret. Kairi's still half in love with him, and sometimes cries because he isn't interested in her. Or any girl, for that matter.

Some people would say it's wrong, but that doesn't matter to us. When we're alone, together, we're just Sora and Roxas, Roxas and Sora. He says he loves me, and I try to return his feelings, as much as a Nobody can. Go ahead, tell me it's sick and twisted, all those words I've heard before. It isn't. Love never is.

I watch over him as he sleeps, ready to defend him if I need to. He does the same for me. And at night, in the privacy of our tent, he holds me close and whispers his dreams, tells me of the places he's been. Places we'll go to, together, someday.

I need him, and he needs me. We're each other's strength, the reason to keep going. One day, this battle will be over, though it seems a long way off, and we'll be free to do anything we want. Until then, we'll take what we can get, stolen kisses and fleeting touches. It's enough, for now. It has to be enough.

AN: A short, sweet Roxas/Sora oneshot. Let me know what you thought.
