Chapter 1
The Beginning
The teenage girl watched her sister and Daimon talking trying to keep their voices down. Though it did no good she could hear them like she was right next to them. She sighed lightly and looked out the wide window that showed ghouls coming down the street on their way here. Ghouls are things that used to be people but were turned by a master vampire and that vampire controls them but to become a ghoul you have been bitten and aren't a virgin. She could hear their cries from here, crying to be let out of their misery."Kithara you might want to look outside and try to get Daimon out of harm's way" The girl said her voice echoing in the sudden silence. When she looked at her sister she smiled grimly and looked towards the oncoming hoard that was now nearing the first house on the street and she can barely hear the human's screams from here.
"Kara what are we going to do?" Kithara asked looking at her sister for guidance only to pause at the look in her sisters' eyes. Her eyes had a grim look in them as if she knew what was about to happen, and she'd do anything to stop what was about to happen. To Kithara that meant many things, and the main one was to follow what her sister said knowing there was more to her than anyone knew.
"I need you to stay in the safe room in the house and keep Daimon in there so I can protect you from the oncoming battle. I also need you to stay there and not come out until I come and get you no matter what you hear. I also want you to only open it if you hear our safe word also." Kithara looked and nodded and was about to ask a question, but Kara interrupted her.
"I need you to go now and I'll explain what's happening later on this shouldn't take too long anyways." Kara said smiling at her sister and Daimon. Kithara nodded and took Daimons' hand and went to the back of the house to the one steel door they had and the only room that could protect them. The room had a speaker on the side of the door that allowed her to talk to Kara when she came and let them out.
When they entered the safe room, and was about to close the door they heard the front door crash open and hurried to close the door. Kithara had one last glimpse of her sister and saw she pulled out the guns she always had on her.
Kara glanced towards the safe room and smiled when she realized that Kithara and Daimon were inside the safe room already. She looked towards the ghouls that just now realized that she was there and started heading towards her. She looked towards them and smiled slightly knowing that she had been able to protect her sister for as long as she could.
She raised her guns and started firing. After she killed the few ghouls that had managed to get into the house she went outside and looked at the other opponents and started to come up with a plan. She looked at the gasoline can that they kept near the garage and saw a few dozen ghouls near there. She ran over to the gas and took the top off and dosed the ghouls with it and the floor and then took out her lighter that she kept on her and lighted the gas on fire and ran from the area before she got burned. She looked at them and noticed that they caught fire but didn't die and started catching other ghouls on fire but soon enough they burned to death and lay still.
