Coming Home Late, a katekyo hitman reborn! fanfic

A/N: Just a little something I wrote some days ago...

I actually got into AlaudiLampow when I visited Jasmin back in July and she convinced me to cosplay Lampow at Frankfurt Book Fair and I wanted to write something about the pairing ever since buuuut never had any ideas until now...

I hope there's someone out there who actually likes this xD

If there was one thing Alaudi despised about his job it was the fact that there were too many occasions when he came home late. He loved his job, it was what he had always dreamt of, but he also loved the person person who was waiting for him at home and he didn't like that his work caused him to have to leave him alone so often.
However he couldn't help feeling the slightest bit happy about it. The thing was that coming home late allowed him to find his boyfriend fast asleep in their bed. He wasn't the type to smile or laugh a lot, but whenever he entered their bedroom to find the younger man spread out below the sheets he couldn't suppress a soft smile.
This evening wasn't any different at that. When Alaudi entered their small house he was greeted by darkness and silence. He put his keys into the small bowl on the commode in the hall and took off his shoes before he went into the bedroom. As usual Lampow was already sleeping, his body covered by white sheets, which still showed the outlines of his slender frame. A peaceful look was on his face, which was framed by the usually messy mob of green hair.
Alaudi stood in the door for a moment to look at the picture in front of him. In a way he couldn't help but wonder why the younger man fell in love with him. And it was an even bigger mystery how he had managed to win Alaudi's heart. He wasn't really known for showing many emotions towards his surroundings. In fact most people would describe him as cold-hearted and unapproachable. But Lampow had seen something in Alaudi. Something which had caused him to try everything in his power to convince the blonde of his feelings for him.
As one could see he succeeded in the end and over time Alaudi had reached the point where he asked himself how he had been able to live without the younger one by his side. Ever since their relationship had started he stopped feeling lonely at night and felt the warmth of love in his heart. Sometimes he wondered if he would ever be able to express his gratitude towards Lampow. But then again, wasn't loving him with all his heart also a form of saying thank you? He had told his boyfriend about these thoughts once and the younger man had given him a wide smile before he told him that what he got from him was enough to make him happy. Alaudi had accepted it, but still couldn't suppress the thoughts every once in a while.
Sighing he shook off what was on his mind and entered the bedroom, taking off his clothes while approaching the bed. He slipped beneath the covers next to Lampow and wrapped one arm around the green-haired man to pull him closer. His boyfriend stirred in his sleep and mumbled Alaudi's name while he snuggled up to the blonde's warm body. Smiling Alaudi closed his eyes and let himself drift to sleep, knowing that it would be yet another short night he could spend with the person he loved in his arms.
