"Where are we?"

"In a hole, underground."

"Thanks, I couldn't have worked that one out on my own."

"Well I know just as much as you do about our current location."

"Guys, whoever is grabbing me, that's not my hand."

"Do you think we could get some light, maybe."

"Hold on just a sec…"

The dim light of the clip on flashlights they wore flickered on one after the other, revealing a large cavern surrounding the knee high pool of water they'd landed in.

"Great, so how do we get out of here?" Noctis pulled his wet t-shirt away from his skin, making a face at the cold and heavy fabric.

Ignis looked up at the roof of the cavern, the hole they'd fallen through obscured in the shadows. "That would be the question, might I suggest we start by getting out of the water?"

"Sounds like a plan to me." Gladiolus marched forward, slogging through the surprisingly clear pool.

"You think I could fish here?" Noctis asked, noting the darting forms as they made a beeline for the bank.

"No." The answer was unanimous, all three speaking at once.

"What I mean," Ignis amended, "is that considering the complete lack of sunlight we are likely to be facing no small number of deamons. It is best not to sit still for two long."

Prompto was hugging himself and shivering, in the faint light his breath illuminated in small white puffs. "Yeah, let's get out of here before something kills us."

Splashing onto the rocky bank of the underground lake, Gladiolus shucked his shirt, wringing it out with his hands. "We need to dry off or we're all going to be sick in the morning."

"If we're not d-dead." Noctis muttered to himself, but shrugged out of his jacket and did the same.

"C-c-calm down there e-edgelord." Prompto joked through chattering teeth, moving very slowly as he peeled off his clothes, and grimacing any time the cold fabric brushed him. "I-I-I hope t-that nothing catches us with our p-p-pants down."

"Right you are, we should move quickly." Though his voice remained steady, Ignis was visibly shivering too, they all were.

"W-what if I used a fire spell?" Noctis suddenly perked up, materializing one into his hand. "Just a little one?"

"That…" Ignis paused, "Is actually not the worst idea you've had all day."

Gladiolus groaned, "That's how I know we're getting desperate."

"Do it, do it." Prompto goaded, hopping from one foot to another to keep his blood flowing.

With a sigh, Ignis nodded in assent, his face said he couldn't believe he was agreeing to this. "Okay, but over there, and we can use the residual effects to dry our clothing, but we'll need to be quick, all that commotion will alert anything wandering these caves to our presence."

"T-thank you, I-Iggy. You're the b-best!" Prompto gathered up his clothing in preparation, it was already crunching slightly with frost.

Gladiolus shrugged. "What's the worst that could happen?"

"We'll find out." Noctis tossed the orb.
