OK, ok, I know. I write lots of song-fics. And I also don't care. *smiles* This fic was written for GomamonGuy, a reeeeally good friend of mine who helped me out recently on a nifty little profile for AOL. ('cuz I stink with html ^^;) So dun' steal. He's special!

"Do you remember much of it, Takeru?"
"Only Patamon. The rest is fuzzy."
Two preteens, Takeru and Hikari, talked over a banana split about the world they had left behing nearly two years ago.
"I wanted so badly to leave there back then, leave the danger," Hikari said, more to her ice cream than to Takeru.
~~Here we are, safe at last
We can breathe a sigh,
It seems the storm has passed...~~
"You know...I have strong feelings for you, Hikari..and our long stay in the DigiWorld is what lit that fire," Takeru whispered.
~~Through it all, no one knew
That all the tears in Heaven
Would bring me back to you...~~
"Taichi, Sora, and all the others never had as much Hope as you did, Takeru. None of them seemed to truly believe we would ever get home." Hikari popped the cherry from the top of the banana split in her mouth.
~~No one I know
Imagined we would make it,
But it only matters that we both belive...~~
Takeru ate another spoonful of ice cream as he answered. "What do you think Patamon and Gatomon would say about our relationship?"
"I think they would DigiVolve to Angemon and Angewomon and bless us in their angel forms!"

The two, who were fast becoming much more than friends, looked at each other. Hikari broke the loving silence.

"The same goes for me," Takeru smiled. "Your presence in our group of vagabonds was just enough to ensure that I was alright."

Takeru and Hikari clasped hands tightly, looking deep into each other's eyes. They both remembered all they had been through, all they had conquered in the DigiWorld.

"Taichi and Sora were always such an obvious couple," Hikari pointed out. "No one thought about us."
"Even Mimi and Jyou were close to obvious," Takeru said.
