Author's note: Just a small happy one shot after the birth of Charlotte and Henry's son. Please feel free to review.
Happy reading!
"Charles Buford Fairchild." Henry crooned as he looked down at the baby in his wife's arms. "He is quite handsome."
"Yes. He has a good look about him." Charlotte agreed. "You need to inform the Silent Brothers."
Henry laughed. "Can we not have a moment with him before the rest of the world intrudes?"
She smiled. "I suppose. But I hear whispering outside the door. We don't have long."
"They can wait." Henry kicked off his shoes and climbed into the bed with her. He took the baby and looked down at his small face. "We truly are blessed, aren't we, Charlotte?"
"Yes. I would not have been able to live with myself if you had died, you know."
"I know. But the three of us live. And are well. And I am so sorry I doubted your love for so long."
"And I'm sorry I doubted yours."
He pressed a kiss to her lips and then kissed their son's forehead. They sat in silence for a very long time. They passed their baby back and forth.
"We should let them meet him." Charlotte said finally.
"Yes." Henry kissed the baby once more and got out of the bed. He put on his shoes. "I will also send word to Silent City."
"Henry?" She said softly.
He turned and stumbled. He caught himself on the bed, his face just inches from Charlotte's. He chuckled and brushed a kiss across her lips.
"Now we must open the flood gates." His wife whispered.
