Theme: Introduction

Carlos Garcia was trying to follow a recipe of his grandmother's up in apartment 2J. He was going to help Katie by selling the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby when Mr. Bitters wasn't looking, although he wasn't sure how they'd taste. After all, he wasn't his grandma, he was a hockey player. The oven timer rang and he jumped in surprise before opening the oven.

He pulled out the tray of cookies, but unfortunately, he forgot to use to oven mitts and cried out in pain as he dropped the tray and started waving his hands around as he turned on the water. He stuck them under and screamed again. He had turned on the hot water. He quickly switched it to cold and sighed in relief as the burning lessened. He picked up the tray and se tit on the counter before looking for a basket.

Ten minutes later, Carlos entered the lobby and had just set up his stand, over Palm Woods property, when a girl about his age walked into the hotel. She had blond hair and it was nice because it wasn't bleach blond. It was more of a golden blond. Could the hockey player be falling in love?

The girl looked over in his direction with her blue eyes and they lit up when she saw the cookies.

She approached the stand with out looking at him and handed him a bill before taking a cookie and biting into it.

"Ew! These taste like hockey pucks!" she shouted as she spit out the bite she had taken, still not looking at Carlos.

"Sorry, it's my grandma's recipe, but I'm a hockey player!" Carlos hurriedly apologized.

It was then that the girl looked up at him and her expression softened into a small smile.

"I understand," she said.

"I'm Carlos," Carlos said as he looked into her blue eyes.

"I'm Mercedes Griffin," Mercedes replied. Then she had a thought. "How about we go up to your apartment and I teach you how to make real cookies. After all, my dad said I had two hours to find Big Time Rush," she added with a smile.

"You got it," Carlos said as he grabbed the basket of 'hockey pucks' and led her toward the elevator.

A/N: So, I hope everyone liked it. Sorry about the shortness of it. Please review and check out Big Time 100 if you get a chance.
