The night started out like any other night Sophia was asleep and then a flash of bright light shined through her window then a loud bang rang shortly after that, it made Sophia jump out of her skin. Sophia didn't know what was happening she never experienced this before, but all she knew was that she didn't like it.
"Mommy?" Sophia said as she sat in her bed "Mommy!" Sophia yelled a little louder. Still no answer. Another clap of lightning sounded the sky and Sophia pulled the covers over her head, when she didn't hear anything for awhile she peeked one eye from behind the covers then when the coast was clear she made a dash for the door and ran into her parents room.
"Mommy! Daddy!" Sophia screamed Will and Emma immediately woke up to their daughter's screams.
"honey! what's wrong?" Emma said held her.
"There's a scary noise outside!"
"Oh you mean the lightning outside" Will said
"What is that? Sophia asked
"Well god is bowling in heaven and when you hear that loud bang it means he got a strike and when you see a strike of lightning god is mad because he got a gutter ball, does that make sense sweetie"
"Kinda but why does he have to be so loud?" Sophia said as Will grinned
"I don't know sweetie but you have no reason to be upset because it's not going to hurt you" Will said.
"Can i sleep in here with you guys please"
"Of course you can sweetie" Emma said "come on get under the covers and let's go to sleep"
As she slid under the sheets another clap of lightning let out and Sophia hid under the sheets, no matter how many times her mom and dad said its ok or it won't hurt me she didn't care it was still scary, but it felt better being in between her mom and dad, it made her feel safer.
Sorry for this being such a short story today :)
I also would like to say that the story about god bowling was a story that my parents always told me growing up because i was so into bowling and thought i would write that into my story lol :)
