I wrote this a few years ago, and thought I'd upload it – it's short, sweet (maybe not so sweet) and full of nonsensical rhyme, so don't expect to red anything deeply moving. As always, I don't own the Labyrinth characters, I just humanely trap them, tag then and release them back into the wild.

S: Through dangers untold, and hardships so many,

I have bested your tricks, you poufy-haired ninny!

You thought me a fool, and simple to break,

Your power I hold, your life I will take.

J: Woah, wait a sec, hon, let's not get too hasty!

I offered you dreams, is this how you repay me?

S: What'd you expect? A flutter and smile?

You disgust me, old man, you fill me with bile!

J: Well that thought is graphic, and somewhat disgusting,

I gave you my heart…and now it is bursting.

S: You gave me your power, and for that I give thanks,

It will make it much easier to take o'er your ranks.

The goblins have seen the weakness you've shown,

They will flock to my side when I sit on your throne.

J: That isn't right! How could you do this?

I gave you my power, in hopes of a kiss.

S: Ugh, liked I'd ever do that, you slavering old coot!

Now step aside Jareth, I just gave you the boot.

J: This cannot be, it cannot, I say!

Mark my words, Sarah, for this you will pay!

What is wrong with my magic, why will it not work?

S: You are now impotent, you dumb little jerk!

I am the Queen, and you are my slave.

Or are you a fool, or maybe my knave?

J: I will not bow, I will not kneel,

I will not play tricks, or make a new deal.

S: Too bad, you poor sod, now I'll say 'good-bye',

The only choice left is for you to now die.

Let this be a lesson, and let it set well,

Ne'er give power to a woman, 'cause she'll send you to-

The crash of thunder jolted Sarah from her dream. She blinked the sleep from her eyes and picked the book she had been reading off the floor. It must have fallen out of her lap when she nodded off. "The Cat in the Hat," she read. "Toby, I have got to stop reading this stuff, it's beginning to give me nightmares!" Toby gurgled happily, grinning up at Sarah. She left the book in the rocking chair as she lifted her step-brother out of the crib. "C'mon, Stinky, I can tell you're not going to sleep any time soon." Sarah turned off the lights as she left the bedroom, her dream already half forgotten.
