Hello and welcome to the reboot of The Personafied Hero, now called Fused Hero. If you are confused by the title, then do read ahead as it should be explained in the story.

In this story, Midoriya will NOT get One For All in this story, as it added an extra layer of difficulty for the previous attempt due to it being really hard, to me, to implement. So I just scraped that altogether.

I will warn that this will be have elements of gamer-type fanfictions as I've concluded that that's how I would be able to do this. If you don't like it, than let me know down in the reviews. I have most of it down, but some more ideas would be very grateful to those ideas.

That's that for now, I guess. Also, there will be a couple of OC's from some of my friends, I'll update my profile with everything that needs to be known for all of my stories, just haven't gotten around of doing so just yet.

If you have any questions, then please let me know in the reviews or PM me.

I hope you like this first chapter of the reboot.

Chapter 1: " I welcome you…"

Midoriya was never a fighter, especially since his quirk wasn't really meant for fighting. He was happy that he did have a quirk, but he really wanted something that was more...badass, as Bakugo would say every time he flaunted his quirk during middle school. His quirk just gave him enhanced understanding of the world around him, more like he could accurately guess what was going to happen every time something happened. Naturally, he compared himself to something like a fortune-teller or a psychic , but it didn't really matter as he would always lose fights no matter how many steps he was ahead, mainly due to the fact that he lacked any combat experience other than running away or dodging until the someone would come and help diffuse the situation. The caveat to his power is that he couldn't fully use his quirk when his mind is somewhere else or distracted, and it would give him massive migraines when he used it on the same target within a span of ten to fifteen minutes. A perk of it was that he was able to predict what was going to happen within ten minutes, so he was fine when it wasn't a match, but he never really used it in a match before since he was adamant on not finding himself in a fight. Midoriya didn't no the times as he would be too busy swearing his head off as the migraines would make sure that it was the only thing he thought about.

"Mom, I'm home." Midoriya said as he walked up the stairs to his bed room full of All-Might decor. He smiled as he placed his bag down on his bed and turned on the tv, seeing that a gameshow about wheels and giving letters was on. Midoriya gazed at the screen for a couple of seconds before sighing and plopping down in his chair.

"Icy chocolate sorbet…" He muttered to himself as he let the tv show run for a bit longer until they got to the reveal. Once again, he was right when they revealed the answer to be what he just said. It kind of irked him as he would sometimes ruin games, movies, and even manga for himself, he hated that so much about his quirk.

"As much as I hate this side of my quirk...it isn't all that bad. I might not be able to be a vanguard hero, but at least I'll be able to be a hero that can support." He said as he flipped through his notebook of his hero costume, obviously mimicking his favorite hero of all time, and he wasn't really bothered by it as much as he should be.

"Izuku, dinner's ready!" Inko, his mother, called out to him.

"Coming! Just be there in a second!" He said, quickly changing out of his middle-school uniform into his normal All-Might T-shirt and shorts before making his way to the dining room. Midoriya eyed the perfected fish cutlets on the table, and then turned to see his mother bringing out some more side dishes, smiling as she saw he son. He quickly went over and helped his mother out with the side dishes, and even pulled the chair out for her. She thanked him as they both did a quick prayer before eating the fish. Midoriya couldn't help but sigh in bliss as he inhaled his mother's cooking, never getting tired of the perfection that was her cooking. Inko beamed at her son's approval of her and dug into her own food. The table was rather quiet, which didn't bother either of them as it became common a little while back.

"So, I heard you wanted to attend U.A., Izuku. I'm sure that you will make it in for sure!" Inko commented, trying to start up a conversation. Midoriya nodded, reaching over to grab another cutlet before placing it down on his plate.

"Thank mom, I'm trying for the hero course, but with a quirk like mine, I'll mostly likely be put into the General Studies. Who knows, maybe I'll get Lady Luck on my side and get into one of them." Midoriya said, a bit disheartening to from her son as she frowned from his lack of confidence as she grabbed another cutlet from the center.

"Don't sell yourself short, sweetie. I think your quirk is amazing, all you need to do is train it and improve it in your own way. Your quirk isn't just a power you obtained, but think of it as an extension of yourself, maybe then you'll be able to get into the U.A. hero course." Inko said, sending a loving smile to her son, which he was grateful for as they continued to eat, conversing about other stuff like dinner for tomorrow and classes, something along those lines until they both finished eating. Midoriya offered to clean the dishes, but his mother politely declined and shooed him away from the kitchen. He had a small smile as he went upstairs to his room, feeling the effects of fatigue already setting in and within a couple of seconds of laying down on his comfortable bed, he fell fast asleep. What he didn't know was that his life would be changed that night in his dreams.

Midoriya opened his eyes in a cold sweat as he looked around, noticing how his surroundings were moving, and then he noticed that he was currently free-falling. He panicked as he tried waking himself up, slapping himself, closing his eyes and opening them, the whole shebang, but he was still consciously falling. He looked around for something, but he didn't see anything and braced for impact until he felt that he stopped moving, opening his eyes, he saw himself glowing a light blue-ish color as it stopped him from impacting the floor and turning him into a Deku pancake. He caught his breath, as he was still somewhat hyperventilating from almost dying, the fact that it was a dream slipped his mind amongst the current rampant emotions he felt as he studied his surroundings.

"...O-kay, where the heck am I? And what's up with the sky?" He didn't pay much attention to the sky when he was falling, but now that he was at ground-level, and assumably safe, he now noticed how...distorted it looked. The red hue mixed in with raven black made it incredibly unsettling, and what was more odd was the fact that there was a hole to his left that looked like it was sucking the sky into the cavity. Midoriya grew anxious as he was alone in this sort of country type area, wind picked up a bit as he looked around before spotting a city nearby. He was about to start heading over there when he felt a strange sensation in his stomach, but he waved it off as he started to walk towards the city. The skyscrapers were lit up with many of its windows had their room's lights on, and he heard the familiar bustling of cars and city chatter from where he was at. As Midoriya got closer and closer to the city, a sinking feeling began to arise in his stomach, and the same sensation as earlier came back to him. He tried to burrow it deep into his mind, and proceeded to the entrance of it. He noticed that there was a couple of people that were entering the city, and also guards were also at the entrance, letting people in. He moved in closer to the entrance, using the small forest that was growing as cover before he entered civilization.

"Finally, some people-." Midoriya said, almost coming out of his spot in some brush that was near until he quickly went back and saw that the faces of the guards were distorted, no eyes or nose, just a mouth. As the guards were letting people in, Midoriya noticed one of the people in line was shaking as it looked around before quickly turning around and making a dash, alerting the guards. Some of the people in line were cheering on as they watched one of their fellow people was escaping. Midoriya was alerted since they spoke his language, but what alerted him even more is when his quirk activated and then he saw the escapee torn to shreds. Immediately, Midoriya watched as one of the guards blew a whistle, and out of nowhere, three disfigured dogs that looked straight out of hell appeared and bolted straight for the person trying to escape. The dogs eventually caught up to the person as one of them bit into his leg, tearing it off of his body as the others pounced on him. Midoriya could hear the screams as the dogs ripped the guy to shreds, just like what Midoriya's quirk had predicted, and then watched as he saw the three hellish dogs dragging the body over to the guards. Many of the people in line were trying not to look at the mangled corpse as the guards smiled at the dogs before walking over to the line and just shot a couple of people for sport, letting the dogs feast on the dead bodies. Screams and sobs were heard as the rest of the living line was fished into the city, and some of the guards walked in as well, leaving two guards and a dog out. Midoriya eyes were widened as he saw what transpired here as he almost gagged at the corpses. They certainly didn't look human, but the insides did. Midoriya regretted coming as he turned to get away from the city, but then he stepped on a branch, alerting the guards and dog.

"Of course that happens…" Midoriya said as he immediately sprinted, hearing the dog's bark, which didn't sound like a dog, more like a monster in one of those horror movies that he will never go to again. Midoriya's stamina wasn't the greatest, and he certainly isn't the fastest in his class, but the sense of danger from the dog had his legs go on overdrive as he ran out of the forest and saw that he was back to where he was when he landed. He didn't bother looking behind him, and didn't see that the dog was already right behind him. Instincts kicked in as he dived to the right, avoiding the dog as it had jumped at the boy.

"Great, what...now?" Midoriya panted as he got up to see the dog already in position for another pounce, what made matters worse was that the guards appeared behind the dog, outnumbering him three to one, but Midoriya's heart was racing. He didn't have any combat training, plus the whole situation was messing with his ability to think properly, but then he remembered that he was in a dream, so it shouldn't matter if the dog bit him. But the dog just growled at him before reeling back and launched a fireball from its mouth, and Midoriya, still in the mindset that it was a dream let the thing hit him.

"ARGH!" Midoriya screamed in pain as the fireball sent him flying a couple of meters away from the dog and guards. He tumbled a bit before struggling to get up, the searing pain of the attack nearly knocked the wind out of him and his clothes were burnt where the fireball hit him as pool of tears threatened to escape his eyes.

"This is supposed to be a dream, why did that hurt?" Midoriya began to hyperventilate on the ground, not noticing the dog was stalking towards him, followed by the two laughing guards. They sounded like hoarse, and sent shivers down his spine. Midoriya finally looked and saw that they were close,so he began to crawl back, trying to create a gap between them, but his chest was screaming in pain as it became hard to breathe and white spots started to appear in his vision. The dog got closer and closer as Midoriya's body was about to give up due to the pain, but unconsciously, his mind was the exact opposite.

"Dammit Midoriya, what the hell are you doing?!" Midoriya heard his conscious as he laid there, accepting death.

"I'm going to die. This is a dream, and yet it hurt...it wasn't supposed to hurt…" Midoriya chuckled weakly as tears spilled down his cheeks as the guards laughed at the boy's face, full of fear and remorse. His life flashed before his eyes as he saw his mother playing with him when he was a kid to when his quirk was revealed via the doctor. He was accepting defeat too easily, and that made his conscious mad.

"Why have you given up?! Weren't you going to become a hero in order to save people?! You're giving up in a lucid dream, just because you can't do anything and you got hit by a simple fireball?! What are you, freaking twelve?!" Midoriya was growing agitated by his conscious and was about to block it out when suddenly, the dog started to back away and the guards grew tense as they pulled out their weapons. Midoriya noticed that they didn't have guns, only batons. He also didn't feel the burning pain in his chest and he also regained his strength.

"What the-?" Midoriya questioned.

"Now's not the time to worry about that, focus on them. If we can somehow beat them, then we can avoid having you getting ripped apart. Deal? And I'm not taking now for an answer, wimp." Midoriya's face crinkled in annoyance, but nevertheless, agreed that he didn't want to get ripped to shreds, and the fact that his consciousness somehow managed to revive his courage. He scrambled to his feet as the dog backed off, but one of the guards walked forward with his abton in hand.

"Get ready, he's going to attack. Use your quirk!" Midoriya focused in on the guard stalking towards him. His eyes started to glow light blue as he saw what the guard was going to do and how he was going to act. The guard took his sweet time to reach Midoriya, which gave him enough time to grab a jagged rock on the ground before sprinting away. The guard cursed and followed him, but the dog and his companion didn't move an inch, which his quirk predicted, but still was relieved that they didn't follow.

He continued to run until he came across several mysterious rock formations, and hid behind one of them. The jagged rock and the future in his possession, he waited as he heard the faint crunch coming from the guard. His thoughts were racing, but strangely, his body was calm. Maybe it had to do with his conscious being calm, which he found a bit odd that his conscious acted as a separate entity from him, but he quickly focused back in as the guard crept closer and closer to the rock he was behind. Gripping the rock tightly in his right hand, he held his breath as he saw the guard's shadow appear to his left. Calming his nerves, he waited as the guard came closer and closer until he quickly stood with the rock in his hand.

Midoriya yelled as he put all his strength into the blow as it connected with the face of the guard. The guard collapsed into a heap as Midoriya was breathing heavily, the adrenaline rushing through his body dissipated as he dropped the rock from his hands and sat down. He moved away from the guard's body and sat down next to a rock not far from the body, leaning and rested his aching muscles from all the running he did.

"I must say, I am impressed with that hit, Midoriya. Wait…" Midoriya's consciousness stopped talking as he felt a sudden change in the air as he unconsciously stood up and walked out a bit until he saw the guard's body began to convulse erratically as it looked like he was melting, soon the guard's body began turn into some sort of goo as it levitated up into the air, suddenly the goo just dropped and splattered all of the rocks and ground. Midoriya wasn't worried about that, but what he was worried about was that in the center where the goo fell, a humanoid creature appeared.

"W-what is t-that?!" Midoriya yelled out, getting the monster's attention. It squealed loudly and raised the club in its hands. The green-haired boy dodged as the club came crashing down onto the ground, creating a small crater and decimating any rock that was around it. The thing had glowing red eyes and was foaming at the mouth. It's skin was disfigured and the tusks that protruded from its mouth were frightening to say the least, but Midoriya didn't care about the details at the moment as he heard the howl from the dog earlier and the other guard as well. The other guard also did a similar thing as he melted into a goo before lifting up and crashed down onto the ground, revealing another one of the horrendous beast. The dog, however, stayed the same as before.

"This isn't good, this is a dream right? How come I'm not waking up yet!?" Midoriya shouted as he was outnumbered once again. He hoped that his consciousness would speak to him, but no voice answer him back.

"Dammit, what am I going to do? I don't think I can do anything against those things…" Midoriya was too focused on the beasts that he didn't see the dog creeping from the side until he heard a growl and turned to see the dog about to make him into a chew toy. He braced for the worse, only to hear a whimper as he opened one of his eyes to see that a spear was imbedded in the dog's stomach.

"My apologies, but looks like I made it in time." Midoriya then opened his other to see a projection of a woman an armor holding onto the spear that was thrusted into the dog. He stared in awe as the woman pulled the spear out of the dog and watched as it faded to dust. Midoriya could only stare as the woman smiled and landed onto the ground, the light-blue aura around her dissipating as she touched the ground.

"Who are you…?" Midoriya was skeptical, but he was also thankful that he was saved. He had to admit, she looked very beautiful and had white flowing hair, which complimented her sparkling blue eyes. She smiled as she knelt down before him. He just noticed that she was pretty tall, 5'8, maybe 5'9.

"My name is Jeanne d'Arc, but please call me Joan. I was your consciousness from before, my apologies if I was a bit rude. I couldn't just idly sit by and watch as my master died." Joan said with a smile on her face.

"Joan of Arc? Like the Maiden of Orleans? But..that's not possible…" Midoriya mumbled, not even believing his own words as the experiences now would have told him otherwise. This lucid dream, the city, the killings, the guards, etc. This was something that couldn't be explained with logic alone. He was about to ask another question until he heard a loud squeal and suddenly, more of the beasts began to show up, now as a horde of eight versus just the two of them.

"Please, get behind me. I'll protect you." Joan said as she twirled her spear around before holding it out before her, and at the end of her spear was the flag of France at that time. One of the beasts roared and charged at them, but to Midoriya, it looked rather slow. Thinking of giving Joan support, he was about to focus in on the beast, but before he could get his reading, she skillfully dodged the heavy blow and thrusted her spear into the throat. She pulled it out, watching as the beast dropped dead and faded away. Two more of them charged at, but she backed up a bit and raised her hand to the sky as her eyes and outstretched hand began to glow.

"Saint's Light!" She yelled out as a beam of light appeared out and struck the two beasts, both of them crying out in anguish as they evaporated from existence. Midoriya was stunned at the power she had, but then he looked over at the beasts and his eyes widened as one of them had a crossbow.

"Joan watch out!" Midoriya yelled out, but it was too late as she tried to block it with her spear, but was shot in the shoulder. Joan cried out in pain, but then she quickly raised her spear again as another one charged at her. She managed to block it, but the power of the swing ended up sending flying into one of the rocks. She cried out as she coughed out blood, alerting Midoriya as he rushed over to where she was at, he was about to reach her when he heard the crossbow fire, but Joan quickly summoned her shield and it ricocheted off of it.

"Are you alright?" Midoriya frantically asked as he was panicking. Joan only chuckled before going into a pained coughing fit.

"It's alright, I should be used to wounds by now. My power isn't what it should be though…" Joan said to Midoriya looking him in the eyes. He only looked at her with a confused look.

"What do you mean by that?" Midoriya asked.

"You are my master, Izuku Midoriya, but there's a problem. Normally, I would be summoned as a result from a contract that you and me would agree on, however…"

"Since we haven't done the contract, the link isn't connected?" Midoriya guesses, and Joan nodded to him.

"That is correct, as a shield, my duty as your persona is to protect you at all costs. However, there is no contract or link that says otherwise, and thus my power isn't as it should be."

"So, what you're saying is that I need to make a contract with you in order to have you full potential?" Midoriya asked, and she nodded. He looked over and saw that the shield was starting to crack at certain areas and that the beasts were getting closer and closer to them.

"Alright, I'll form a contract with you." Midoriya said, and felt Joan smile before disappearing along with her shield.

"Trust me…" Joan said in his mind when he began to panic about not having a barrier between him and the monsters. He nodded and closed his eyes, imagining forming a contract with Joan as she began to recite the oath. He began to glow blue as winds began to pick up, forcing the beasts back as they couldn't move at all.

"I am thou, thou art I. With this binding, I announce thee as my master, the one that will show this world the true meaning of peace. I will announce myself as his shield and spear when he demands so, as such I request the power to make it so! To protect the innocent and my master to the last breath!" Joan said as Midoriya began to glow brighter. He felt the surge of power flowing into him as he imagined Joan flowing with power. The winds picked up even more, sending all the monsters flying. After a couple of seconds, the wind died down as Midoriya floated to the ground and breathed out as the aura that surrounded him slowly dissipated. He raised his hand to the sky and yelled out, his voice laced with power that trembled the earth underneath him.

"I command thee, come forth, Jeanne d'Arc!" Midoriya shouted out, a card appeared in his hand as he yelled out his command, then, by instincts, he crushed the card and a light flashed before his eyes. Appearing in front of him, Joan appeared in all her glory, a white aura surrounded her form as she smiled before summoning her spear once more, looking ready to fight once more. White flames also surrounded her and Midoriya, the flames flowing into the tip of her spear.

"Ready for combat! On your word!" Joan said as she readied her spear. The beasts howled and they all charged at her as the one with the crossbow was currently reloading, Midoriya focused in on him and worked his magic as his quirk activated.

"We have seven seconds before he finished his reload and another six seconds before he can fire." Midoriya said, looking at her. Joan nodded before she hummed.

"Maiden's Blessing." Joan said. A burst of power swelled within her as the white flames grew bigger than they were previously as she charged at blazing high speeds, she quickly danced her spear around the beasts, kicking one away as she threw her spear into another one's throat. Joan quickly grabbed the spear, and blocked an incoming attack from one of the others and jumped onto one of their backs, plunging her weapon into the head of it, instantly killing it. Jumping once more, she kicked herself off of another one and launched herself towards the ranged beast. The beast tried to shot at her, but it didn't have enough time to place an arrow as she grabbed its face and slammed it into the ground before finishing the job with her spear. She pulled her spear as the corpse disappeared and then looked at the remaining two beasts as they both howled out angrily, their eyes now glowing a hellish red with a mix of orange and yellow as their bodies enlarged, becoming more muscular and disfigured. They were easily three times the size of Joan, but the woman only looked at them as she faced tougher enemies than these. She charged at them as one of them tried to grab her, but she jumped over the hand and dodged an attack coming from his buddy.

"Cry of Valor!" She yelled out, her voicing ringing throughout the area. The two beasts gripped their heads while Midoriya was unaffected by the ringing sound. Joan used this to slash at both of their legs, and then hopped on one of them, reaching the head of the beast. The white flame surrounding the spear gathered around the tip as she yelled out, thrusting the spear and piercing the head of the beast. White flames began to spread all over the beast's body as it squealed out in pain as the white flames burned it before it became ashes that picked up by the wind. Joan then dropped down and pierced the other's abdomen, causing it howl out in pain as it tried smashing her with its club for a last ditch effort, but she dodged out of the way and using her momentum, she kicked her spear, making it go through the body as she slid between its leg and grabbed her spear before she charged up her power.

"Holy Spear!" A blast of energy fired from the spear, burning a massive hole in the beast's body. It vanished soon after just like the others as Joan exhaled before she returned to Midoriya, kneeling once more to him. Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck nervously as he didn't know how to respond to it, but he placed a hand on her shoulder, causing her to look up at him.

"Thank you for helping me out when I was in a bind. You looked absolutely amazing dealing with those monsters." Midoriya said, a smile crept on his lips.

"Thank you my lord, I will continue to give my services to you." Joan said before getting up and kept watch as Midoriya scanned the area, and sighed before scratching the back of his head.

"Looks like I won't be waking up anytime soon, so what now?" Midoriya mumbled to himself, until he heard something coming from behind him. He turned and saw that a door had appeared. It was a blue door with several strange markings on it, but he could also feel power coming from it. He was alarmed when it opened and Joan immediately got her spear ready and stood in front of Midoriya as they waited for something to come out of the door. They heard footsteps and joan tightened her grip on the spear as they heard it increase in volume before a girl appeared in front of them. A girl no older than he with platinum blonde hair and piercing gold eyes. Her outfit consisted of black and blue button-up coat with a black skirt, black socks and heels, and finally a black and blue beret topping it off. She held a pocket watch in her left hand as she looked at him as if she was gathering information just by looking at him. Finally, she closed her pocket watch and stared directly into Midoriya's eyes.

"Izuku Midoriya, my master would like to see you. Please follow me if you will." She said before entering the door, leaving a confused Midoriya and a skeptical Joan behind as they looked at the door.

"I suppose we should follow her, even if it is a trap. We don't know much about this world, or more specifically, you do since I know everything you know. In lamest terms, we both don't know anything. If we can get information from the girl, I suggest we take anything that can help us here, even if it a dream." Joan commented. Midoriya looked at her before weighing in his options, after thinking about it for sometime, he agreed and the two of them entered the door. When they entered the other side, they saw the girl waiting on them.

"Follow me, if you please." She said as they ventured onward through what appeared to be a hallway filled with just black and blue. Midoriya stayed silent as they eventually came across a door and the girl opened it, ushering him to enter. He braced himself and entered as a blinding light blocked his view until it faded away. Midoriya blinked as he looked around him, seeing many different decorations, all black and blue with a fireplace to boot.

"This looks like a hero agency…" Midoriya said as he gazed all around him.

"Of course it is, young hero." Midoriya yelped as he turned and saw an old man with a huge smile on his face. What stood out to Midoriya was the elongated nose, but that's besides the point as he had his hands placed at what appeared to be a desk. The girl from earlier walked to stand beside the old man. The man smirked and extended one his hands out to Midoriya in a welcoming manner.

"Young hero, welcome to my Velvet Room…"

And done! Phew, that was quite a ride for me! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this opening to the reboot!

Yes, I changed some stuff around like where I started out. Instead of the end of the USJ Incident, I started in Midoriya's middle school years. Also, a couple other things have changed from the previous story, but we'll get into that a bit later in the story.

If you're confused about the story name, don't worry, it will be all revealed in the next chapter. Just a heads up!

I gave Midoriya a quirk that's premonition, so I guess I'll call it "Premonition". Anyways, like I said at the beginning of this chapter, Midoriya will NOT get One for All. I hope you don't mind that.

I've also been thinking about branching off of MHA fanfictions and doing some other fandoms like Fire Emblem, Persona, RWBY(Once I've seen all of the volumes.), etc. I might be doing a Fire Emblem Heroes fanfiction because I really like the game. Just a throwing it out there if you guys would like to see that.

Don't worry, I will be updating my profile with everything regarding my fanfictions and other stuff that is important.

If you have any questions, feel free to leave a review or PM me and I will get back to you ASAP!

Let me know how I did in this chapter, and if you want to see more, then let me know as well!

Anyways, I hope you liked this chapter and I will see you guys, in the next chapter!

Take care!
