Disclaimer: I do not own any of the characters that Kristen Britain has created; I am simply borrowing them for mine and others' entertainment, blah blah, etc.

I was curious as to what happened to Lil after she told Karigan that she had to answer for what she had done. So I wrote what I think should have happened.

Lil had been called to stand before Aeryc. Not a nervous person, she did not exactly feel so, but a small sense of foreboding gripped her heart. She could not judge how deep and strong Aeryc's anger was, therefore she knew not the nature of her punishment.

The place was indescribable. It was certainly a place only a god could have created. And there Lil waited, unruffled, for Aeryc to try her and pronounce her punishment. Not long did she wait.

"Well, Lilidhe Ambriodhe, you have defied me again and again," a deep, powerful voice resonated all over, making it impossible for Lil to discern where the god spoke from. Her reply was but a nod.

"And you almost continue to," he expounded his original statement. "You mingle with those who yet live, intervene with their lives in a way that you should not, and you bring one of the living to the future, an action which changes the state of the world greatly. Tell me why I should not burn you from existence at this moment."

Lil lifted her head and held it high. "Because I got Sacoridia and its neighbors, those who serve you, more time to prepare for the onslaught that Mornhavon will bring. I gave to them what you would not. I gave them hope, and a chance to survive. Banish me from existence or force me to dwell in the hells as you will, but that will not change what has come of my actions."

"You speak of your actions as honorable," Aeryc replied, and Lil could almost see him in her mind's eye shaking his head. "Yet, they were defiant and, despite what you have said, they were not necessarily the right thing to be done. You deliberately defied my rule, and I cannot let that be, despite what good you see coming of it. And I can see no need for the actions you took. Bringing a living person into the future! Even visiting yourself is not compliant to my rule. You interfered greatly with the life of the living girl in an unreasonable way. You leave me few choices, Lilidhe Ambriodhe."

She restrained herself from rolling her eyes. "There is always the choice of there being no punishment for my actions, as they were not entirely adverse. Quite the opposite, in fact. But decide as you will."

Aeryc seemed as though he was getting impatient. "And still you insubordinate and I hitherto have scant choices…" Lil could sense that then was not the time to speak. The silence grew, neither the dead woman nor the great god speaking for a lengthy period of time.

Finally, Aeryc spoke again. "You are to dwell in the hells as punishment, Lilidhe Ambriodhe. Not forevermore, perhaps, but for a while at least. The dead do not intrude into the affairs of the living."

Lil sighed and lifted her head high. "So is my punishment. So is my fate."

Please review my story. Do you think I portrayed Lil okay? Any criticisms (and praises) will be appreciated, but please do not be cruel.
