Everyone was on there way to the top of the building to see the Starlight's off when Seiya leaned over to Mamaru and asked him if he could have a word with him. Now Mamaru was concerned because what he had learned from the other senshi is of Seiya's feelings for his Usa-ko.
"This is about Usa isn't it Seiya-kun? I know you have feelings for her and that you were there for her when I couldn't be and I want you to know that I am grateful to you for it." Mamaru gave a small smile of gratitude to Seiya who was looking very complexe and just was said to him.
"I don't know what to say Mamaru-kun. I do know that I love Odango but it is a very different love that you two share. She sees my love for her as a friend and I should be grateful of that but it pained me to see her hurting so bad when she never heard from you. I wanted to take the pain she felt away but I knew that I was not the one that could heal her heart."
Mamraru just stared at Seiya the silence between them was getting a little thicker as Seiya continued his thoughts on the situation.
"Everytime I thought I was getting close to her your name instantly came up. On how her heart belonged to her Mamo-chan. I was jelious of that kind of love and when we found out who each others secret identities and the insecurities between us grew larger. But that didn't stop me from wanting to take her pain away and to help her see happiness."
"Seiya-kun I understand what you are saying and there is no hard feeling I would probly do the same thing if I was in your shoes. Usa-ko is a girl that should never know sadness. She radiates so much love and light that you can not help but be drawn to her. My disappearance hurt her tremendously I can still see it in her eyes, and my heart cries everytime she looks at me like I am going to fade away again. I am glad she had a friend like you to show her the light when her world was full of darkness. But I m tell you I don't think Usa fully understood your feelings towards her. And that might be a good thing. And because she regards you as a friend then so do I."
Seiya's eye's grew large and a smile came over his face and he began to walk to Mamaru with his hand extended at him. Mamaru smiled and shook Seiya's hand when the door opened. It was Artimis.
"Time to go the princess and the other Starlight's are waiting for you."
"Thanks Artimis we will be right out."said Seiya.
As they walked up the stairs Usagi ran to Mamaru and gave him a huge hug.
"Where were you two? Is everything ok Mamo-chan?
"Yes Usa everything is ok I was just thanking Seiya for keeping an eye on you.
As everyone one said there good bye's Seiya look at Mamaru and said "Take care of her it's some words from some guy." And so they left like shooting stars heading to rebuild there home and on earth two people who have loved each other for two Millenium gazed it to each others eyes and shared a kiss in fornt of the moon that glowed as big as there love for each other.
This is my third attempt at a fan fic it is my view on why Seiya said that to Mamo-chan before he left and why Mamo-chan thought that what Usagi said to Seiya about being friends was so funny.
