Author's Note: sorry, guys! The last story was weird, and it didn't have anything to do with 39 clues. Here's the real story. I guess my computer just hates me!
Genevieve, a seemingly normal teenage girl, is not all she appears to be. She desperately wants the popular kids to stop harassing her, but her friends tell her they like her just the way she is. Gen (her nick name!),is a massive bookworm. She
could read and read and never stop. But above all, her favorite books were the 39 clues. She wished she was Amy's super cool, awesome best friend, and she thought Dan was a twerp at times. She even had a soft spot for Uncle Alastair, who
generously helped Amy and Dan Ahhhhh, how she could dream of being with them, helping them to solve the mysterious and all that. But, when the last book came out, she was crying and laughing at 2am at Borders, waiting for her pre-
ordered copy.
Yes it's here! It's finally here! She thought. No, no, I want it to continue! She wailed in her mind.
As Gen breathlessly weaved her way through the final adventure in the 39 clues, she got more and more depressed. At thirteen, she had always loved these books. When she was little, at age nine when she first picked up the sacred book, she had played many games with her dollies, like the burning house at grandmas, and the evil Japanese mafia in Japan. Thinking back, she realized that she had always been a part of Amy, Dan, Alastair, Ian, Natalie and everyone else.
That night, while Gen was out on her balcony, staring at the starry skies, a huge, shooting star shot its way across the galaxy.
Gen gasped, and said "Oh my god. Now's my chance!" to no one in particular. She crossed her fingers over her heart and thought really hard about the 39 clues. With her eyes closed, she wished that she was Amy's sidekick and best friend and that the 39 clues could be real.
"REAL, REAL, oh please, REAL!" Gen nearly shouted. When she popped open one eye to see if her wish had come true, all she saw was a thousand, glittery stars, winking at her from across the galaxy. With a sigh, she returned to her bedroom, through the covers over herself angrily, and slammed her eyes shut. Little did she know, that her wildest night mares and her dizziest daydreams were about to come true.
