It was night time. Holly just finished training her Wingull and suddenly received a call from one of her old friends who she met while traveling the Kanto region. It was none other than Misty. She reminisced the days where she and Misty were training their Pokémon together. She answered her mobile while hearing random music on the background.
"Holly, you there?" Misty called out from the other line.
"Yeah, I'm here, where are you?" Holly asked as she sweat-dropped.
"Oh, I'm at a party, and since it was near your area, I wanted to invite you!" Misty answered, trying to make her voice clear over the loud music.
"Really, well, all right, I'll be there…" Holly replied as Misty hung up on the other line.
As Holly placed her mobile on her pocket, she then wondered why did Misty called her. Perhaps maybe it was because of an incident that happened between them some time ago. That one moment where both of them were finished training and where she confessed her feelings to Misty, despite of their gender preferences. Misty didn't mind, and it took a while for her to also realize. Both had a relationship for a couple of weeks before Holly decided to go back to the Sinnoh region, making way for a long distance relationship. A year has passed since then. Now that Misty has arrived in Sinnoh, perhaps it was Misty's way of reuniting that long lost relationship…

A couple of minutes later, upon arriving at the house where Misty is supposed to be, Holly entered the house, only to be greeted by some Pokémon who were fiddling with the table, the music and pretty much everything. The only person she saw in that house was Misty.
"What, what is this about?" Holly asked.
"Oh, you wanted to know?" Misty asked as she stepped closer to Holly. "Don't ya know, today's our anniversary… I couldn't find the time to do this because of my status as a Gym Leader. I secretly rented this house near your area so we can have a party like this…"
All of the Pokémon in the house started cheering as Holly hugged Misty.
"Oh thank you, Misty… it's so wonderful of you to do this for me… I'm glad that all that sending of letters to you weren't a waste… it's been a while since you replied…"
"Yes, those letters, they were truly an inspiration for me, and I kept them all…" Misty said as she hugged Holly. "Whenever I miss you, I always read them. I couldn't send any back because of my nosy sisters looking behind my back…"
Holly stared at Misty, and both were blushing so heavily. The moment was so intimate, that the Pokémon in the room just watched them and the music tuned into something romantic. Then, the lights went dim.
"Truly, this is one of the best moments in my life…" Holly whispered softly as she and Misty shared a kiss in the lips.
