The Two Different Sides of Me
Some people say that being rich and having everything you want in life is easy. But people only see the bright side of things, they never see the darkness that we have to go through in life just to get accepted.
My name is Mikan Sakura, sometimes I'm known as Kana Sakurai, I have the displeasure of being in the high class of society. To me life is just another one of my routines I have to go through. Sometimes it' s like I wasn't even alive, but somethings are not meant to be.
Gakuen Alice is just your typical private, rich, high esteemed academy. There are two sections there is the day class, where you can get in if you have the right grades and recommendations. Then there's the night class, where you must be in high class of society and have very influential connections.
Both of them follow a system that is set up by who smart, athletic, and beautiful you are.
No Star: You just got in by pure luck.
One Star: You either are beautiful, smart, or athletic, it can only be one.
Two Stars: You have two of the standards.
Three Star: You have all of the standards.
Special Star: You have all the standards, and something more that isn't required.
They are practically the same for the night class except there involves money and status.
For me, I'm in both that in the tragic story of being born a Sakura. In day class I am known as the girl that just got in by pure luck, otherwise known as the only no star. But in the night class, I am the most respected student, for even teachers address me with an honorific. Either class knows, that I exist both in day class or night class. Until, that one person came and changed my life.
