Bonjour! Okay so I'm really excited about this story. Just give it a chance. I'm sitting here at my computer and I'm supposed to be writing 3 journal responses for my English class tomorrow but then the idea for this story just pooped in my head and I could no longer concentrate until I had written my idea out. I have no idea as of right now what exactly this story will hold but I know the beginning and the outcome and that is enough to get my fingers typing and my brain churning to fill in the middle and make this an enjoyable story for whoever reads it. Constructive criticism is always welcome!

Disclaimer: I don't own anything except the plot bunny.

Listen and imagine. You're walking through a beautiful forest. Colors everywhere, reds, oranges, yellows, and browns as far as the eye can see. There's a bit of a chill, but not so much that you feel uncomfortable. Out of no where the trees break and you step through to where now you're standing at a lake. A lake so still, undisturbed. You lean against a tree and take in the scene around you. The water is so smooth, smooth as glass expanding throughout its entirety. But this place, though beautiful, does not give off a peaceful feeling. Instead, it's almost as if everything is holding its breath, waiting. The wind does not blow, the trees do not rustle and even the squirrels, usually out foraging now all seem to be still. You suddenly have the urge to leave so you push off the tree you've been using as a support, but as you do a piece of bark falls. Almost as if in slow motion you watch it fall. It lands right on top of the water, shattering the glass, sending large rings of ripples all throughout the once smooth lake.

An eerie feeling creeps inside you. You want to turn and run but suddenly you are too scared to move. Your heart is pounding and your breath begins to shutter. Whispers escape the trees… run… leave… go back… Your eyes widen and you break out into a cold sweat. Suddenly everything is so loud. You can hear the forest creatures running across the forest floor rustling the fallen leaves. A fierce wind breaks through the trees and sounds like a heard of wild horses running straight toward you. You finally find the ability to move and you quickly turn on your heel and break back into the trees running as fast as you can. All you want to do is get far away.

That's all it takes. One small seemingly unimportant thing to totally and completely change everything and send things into an unstoppable spiral. Once it has begun there is nothing that you can do to stop it. This story that is on the tip of my tongue, anxious to be told, centers on this idea of seemingly unimportant things making huge differences and rewriting the outcome.

Instead of a piece of bark falling into a stilled lake we have a chance meeting that leads that to a whirlwind of change, an abundance of emotions and the unraveling and remolding of views. Who would have thought that 'hello' could make such an impact on a hard held belief leaving those directly and indirectly involved left wondering of what they had believed in from the beginning had been true. What happens when you for so long believed one thing but then suddenly you find out that that thing might have been a lie? At this point what do you do? I don't know what I would do… but let's take a look at what these characters do when handed this unfortunate event.

Short I know but I hate prologues… but I cant seem to start a story without them. Ugh… can't live with them can't live without them.
