It was a normal day on Privet Drive. Uncle Vernon was working, Dudley was eating, Aunt Petunia was spying, and Harry was… gardening. He had gotten in trouble because after he mowed the lawn he had taken Dudley's Coke out of the refrigerator and drank the whole thing; not knowing it belonged to Dudley. After he was done, Harry shouted to Aunt Petunia that he was going upstairs to rest. When he got up there, he suddenly got hit in the head with Pig. "Stop it and give me the letter you feathery energizer bunny," Harry said. He opened the letter.
Dear Harry
You have permission to come to our house for the summer. But we can only pick you up from the fireplace with permission. Write back if you could come or not.

PS. Percy is the new head of his department!
Excitedly, Harry started a new letter.
Ron,
The Muggles are treating me so badly this summer that I am going to come one way or another. But don't worry, I won't do anything illegal.

PS. Tell Percy I said Congratulations.
He sent the letter off with Hedwig and cheerfully went down for dinner.
At dinner, Harry avoided the question until they were almost done. "I was invited to go to Ron's for the summer, can I go?" The reply was almost expected. "The way they destroyed my house, never again will they set foot in this TOWN," said Uncle Vernon. "But WHY can't I go! WHY do you hate me!" screamed Harry. "Because you are an obnoxious abnormal freak," said Aunt Petunia. "That's it, I'm leaving. Goodbye. Oh, and before I go. There is one thing I think I should tell you. The man that killed my parents and almost killed me four times and was the reason that so many of 'your kind' were dying 15 years ago and the same with 'my kind', the man that murdered hundreds of people is back, and you MAY want some protection. See you next summer." And with that, Harry went upstairs, got his school supplies, and skipped out of the front door while the Dursleys sat shocked at the table.
