A/N: My Friend's sister came up with it so all credit goes to her.

Night

As the dark closes in,

Things are gone, as has been.

Wind brushes the watered grass,

And lightning storms chose to pass.

Humidity clings to watchful eyes,

All are scared to see the skies.

Chipmunks gather as they run,

But the night has only begun.

Deer scurry to rest alone,

As cold seeps into the bone.

Mama birds crawl into bed,

Baby birds taste old bread.

Rain pounds on filled rivers,

As now sight is only slivers.

Ocean spray tastes like salt,

Fast movements take a halt.

Sounds of murmurs reach the clouds,

Deafening noises are not allowed.

Warm feelings caress the air,

Animals close their eyes all in pairs.

Now as everyone drifts to sleep,

Not a sound, not a peep.

Smells the dew as it roams,

Goodnight world,

I'm coming home.
