Garrus stood staring over the display panel trying to figure out the best way to enhance the Normandy's weapon power without damaging the engines. He grumbled to himself and pressed a few random buttons. He took a deep breath in an attempt to calm himself for another long bout of calibrations when a delectable scent wafted by. Garrus sniffed a few times and turned slightly towards the door. Shepard had gotten the Mess Sergeant some new ingredients but he hadn't smelt anything like this before. Suddenly Garrus found himself walking down the aisle between the sleeper pods and standing by the Mess counter. To his utter surprise his eyes landed on what was possibly the best looking rear end in the galaxy.

"That is not the Mess Sergeant's." The words fell out of his mouth before he could stop them and if Turians could blush Garrus would have. The shapely quad stiffened suddenly and a back and head rose above it to reveal…"C-Commander Shepard! I…I didn't know you knew how to cook!" Garrus babbled in an attempt to cover his idiocy. Shepard found herself blushing profusely at first, but a wry smile worked its way onto her face at Garrus' attempts.

"Why yes, Garrus, when I lived on Earth I learned how to cook." Shepard paused to stare at the flustered Turian for a moment. "I also learned how to hear." Garrus mouth fell open a little and he glanced around for a few seconds trying to find something to say. Shepard leaned over the counter until her face was very close to his. "I think I liked what I heard." Garrus froze and his eyes met hers in a question. A question that Shepard left teasingly unanswered.

"I imagine you didn't come down here to ogle my assets Garrus. Do you need something?" Shepard glanced in the oven window for a moment then returned her attention to said Turian. He was silent for a moment as his brain tried to catch up to everything that had happened in the past two minutes. He got stuck on the "I think I liked what I heard" part but with the presence of the other Cerberus officers he decided to pursue it another time.

"I smelled something." Garrus said rather blankly. Shepard raised an eyebrow. "I-I mean it was…I was working and some smell came in that was good and I came to see what it was." As Garrus finished talking a buzzer went off and Shepard slid on a pair of bright pink oven mitts on that had some vaguely cat head shaped white thing on them with a pink bow on the side of its head. Garrus was far more interested in the scents that were emitting from the oven to really take notice of the strange items covering his commander's hands at that moment though. Shepard came up with a pan full of disc-shaped pastries. They smelled amazing. Garrus inhaled deeply as she set them on the counter before him. He reached out to grab one but a pink mitten stopped him.

He glanced up to meet Shepard's glare. She shook her head and turned away towards the refrigerator. Garrus slid his hand back to his side and stared longingly at the cookies. Shepard reappeared with two glasses of milk whilst Garrus fantasized about the chocolate chip filled dough. She called Garrus' name and his glazed eyes focused on her with a 'hmmm?'

"Now you can eat some." She said smiling sweetly. Garrus looked down at the tray and the glass of milk Shepard was pushing into his hand. He happily grabbed a warm cookie and reveled in how it seemed to melt in his mouth until all he could taste was the sweetness of that wonderful cookie. He took a swig of milk and sighed happily then grabbed another cookie. Shepard chuckled lightly and turned to get some plates out of one of the lower cabinets. Garrus found himself greeted with the lovely sight of his Commander's hind end and stared at it mercilessly as another couple of cookies wedged themselves between his lips.
