Present Day: April 2007 (Cena's POV)
Today was supposedly one of the best days of the year - my birthday. However, this birthday wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Here I was -- sitting in a hospital bed, praying more than I have ever prayed in my entire life, that the woman lying in that exact hospital bed, would survive. That woman - was my wife. Today, was also a day - that would have changed the course of our relationship -- because of the severity of her crash, our secret came out. The secret of our marriage.
Our marriage was a secret. No one knew but us, and a few select family members. Why? It was all quite simple -- my wife and I hated each other in the beginning. Our friends somehow knew that we were destined to be together -- and attempted, on every occasion to fix us up. However, this just made us hate each other even more. Nonetheless, our friends still tried. On their "so-called last attempt," they had hit a home run without ever knowing it.
So, while I am sitting here - I might as well just tell you, our not-so-average love story.
