fHe was surprisingly thankful he hadn't bumped into any warriors of Cosmos yet. He didn't really feel like fighting lately. He didn't feel like interacting with the other warriors of Chaos, either-reporting to them about whether or not he'd found a Cosmos warrior, whether or not he'd fought them, or whether or not he was really even searching for one. Sitting on the edge of the wall of Dream's End, Cloud Strife valued the time he had to himself at this moment. He didn't feel like fighting anyone or answering to anyone as of late. Instead, he would aimlessly wander around, occasionally try to avoid a Chaos warrior if one was passing by. He'd successfully avoided the Emperor and Garland several times. He avoided Ultimecia for a while, but he didn't see her at all anymore. Perhaps she'd been slain by a Cosmos warrior, not that it fazed Cloud that much. He often avoided Exdeath as well, not because Exdeath would interrogate him, but simply because Cloud would get bored with Exdeath talking about nothing but the stupid Void, whatever that was.

He especially avoided bumping into Sephiroth, although it always seemed Sephiroth found Cloud instead of the other way around. Cloud let out a sigh. Even in this world...I can't escape him...

Cloud closed his eyes, briefly allowing himself a rare moment of relaxation. Moments like these were rare, especially for Cloud, who was always thinking, always on the move. Letting out a deep breath, Cloud loosened his hold on his Buster Sword and let his mind wander.

...Or at least he tried to, before a voice interrupted his reverie,

"Sitting alone reflecting, I see."

Cloud opened his eyes and turned to his right. Standing there was the big, hulking warlock known as Golbez. Cloud regarded him for a moment. He'd seen Golbez a few times as well. Golbez was another warrior that seemed to find Cloud. However, Cloud at least was grateful for the fact that Golbez never really questioned him as to the whereabouts of the warriors of Cosmos. Instead, he would often regard Cloud and be on his way. He minded his own business most of the time, and Cloud actually liked that.

Turning back to stare ahead of him, Cloud spoke, "Guess you could say that."

Golbez walked with slow, big steps, his armor clanking as he did so. Upon reaching Cloud, he nodded his head and replied,

"Being alone sometimes has its benefits. However, you cannot keep running away from everyone else. Soon they will whisper about treachery. Then, word could reach a Chaos warrior less merciful than either you or I."

"Don't really care what the others think," Cloud said, apathy filling his voice now, "they can think what they want."

"I am merely warning you, as a fellow wanderer." Golbez spoke softly, "The others are merciless. If they detect even the slightest hint of treachery, they will destroy you. If you want them off your back...I suggest you start following some orders."

Cloud let out a disinterested hmph. After a long silence, he rose to his feet, and walked away after saying,

"Not interested."

Yeah, random drabble. It was kind of tricky to write about Cloud, because...well...he's kind of emo. XD But I'm still learning! Again, feedback is appreciated! ^_^
