Unlike the last oneshot I posted, I'm caught up with the series now (wow is it getting dark)(I knew something bad was going to happen!). There are only three or four episodes left in the series, so I'm hoping that there's going to be at least a little bit of Jin x Megumi (like a hug moment or something), and that they'll appear in season three.

Maybe we'll even get to see what Megumi's eyes look like….

Anyway…

This is based sometime between episodes '100 19 (83) and '100 26 (90). I wrote this within an hour so I'm hoping it's cuter than I think it is.

Fading sunset light filtered into the rather empty train car. Jin watched out the window as the scenery flew by. They had left Osaka late and by the time they would get back to Tokyo it would be dark. Because Megumi's house was closer it was agreed Jin would stay over and sleep on the couch (which really wasn't any different from any other time he visited Megumi when she helped him study and left him alone for two minutes).

He wanted to sleep during the trip back, but… Megumi leaned against him, dozing, and he didn't want to wake her up, even though she had very unkindly shoved him awake and scolded him for sleeping during the trip to Osaka.

He watched her sleep. He had never seen her eyes before, so maybe— Megumi's hand gripped his wrist, making him yelp.

"Don't." She released him and went over to the seats on the opposite side of the aisle, "Yami, keep him there."

Yamigitsune came out of his card in his mini form, "Yes, Ma'am."

Jin stared at him, "Yami—"

Yamigitsune turned to him, "She's scarier than you." That was true…. Yamigitsune climbed into the seat next to him, "Let her sleep if she wants to."

Jin glanced at Megumi. She was falling asleep again. She wouldn't scold him if he fell asleep, but Yamigitsune would…. He gave his Buddy Monster some money, "Could you go get a few sandwiches, chocolate, anything?"

"Will you stay here?"

"Yes."

Yamigitsune got up and kept looking back as he left to find a food cart. Jin waited for a few minutes until he was sure Yamigitsune was at least one train car away. He got up, went over to drape his jacket over Megumi, went back to his seat, and then fell asleep.

Yamigitsune returned ten minutes later, "Sorry about the wait, I—" What happened?

Jin and Megumi slept leaning against each other, Jin's jacket draped between them.
