Broken Leg
By Sam Havni
Fang POV
"Alright, flock!" Max said, pacing back and forth in front of the flock, who lined up as if this was the army. "It's time to learn your first formations. Do I make myself Clear?" She shouted.
"Yes Ma'am!" The Flock shouted. "Yes, Sir!" Shouted Iggy.
"What was that?" Max said threateningly to Iggy.
"Yes Ma'am." Iggy said quickly.
"Okay!" Max shouted, clapping her hands together. "Fang and I are up front, next to each other. Then, Iggy and Nudge are to the side, but behind us. Angel and Gazzy are next to them, but also behind them. Is that clear?"
"Yes Ma'am!" The flock shouted.
"Let's try it. This is formation A. Ready, fly!" She said. The flock flew up, randomly scattered.
"Formation A!" Max shouted. The flock did it perfectly. "Turn Left!" She shouted. They moved left. I heard "Oof" from Max and she was gone. "Flock, scatter!" I shouted.
I flew around to the tree Max hit and found her dangling, tangled in branches.
"You need my help?" I offered.
"No…I think I – AH!" She screamed as she fell to the ground.
"Max!" I shouted, flying down to her. She was clutching her leg.
"Max!" I shouted again as I landed, running over to her. "Are you okay?"
"No," She whispered. "It's broken." The flock landed behind us, in a patch of light seeping through the trees.
I picked Max up and sat her on a log. "Lie down." I said. I felt her leg. Yup, I said silently. It's broken.
"It's broken." I said to her. "Can you fly?"
"No," She said. "It hurts to move it."
"Okay, well get some rest. Your body heals when It's asleep."
"Okay," She whispered, closing her eyes. The flock came over to look at her.
"Good night."
"Good night."
We sat around for around fifteen minutes before we heard a buzzing sound.
"Flyboys." I said quietly. I gently lifted Max into my arms.
"What are you doing?" Asked Iggy.
"Leaving. You coming?"
"Uh…I guess."
"Good." I lifted off the ground. The flock followed.
MAX POV
A Jolt in my stomach woke me up. A Pain in my leg brought me to reality. I opened my eyes to see we were landing. And Fang was carrying me. He didn't leave me, I thought gratefully. I love that boy… I thought. I snuggled myself up in his arms, closing my eyes. We landed. I was still 'Asleep.'
Fang sat on a log, me still in his arms. He gently stroked my hair. I felt so loved. My leg didn't hurt. I seriously doubted it was broken. I wanted to smile, so badly, but I didn't. I resisted.
The End
(A/N: Okay, so it was a oneshot, but whatev.)
