Jumper: The Rules of Dimensional Travel, and Why We Don't Care

Dan. A man with a problem. A man who is divided on his life's future. A man who decides to take one last romp through the multiverse before deciding his fate. A man who gets caught up in something much more than him, possibly for the last time. Rating varies depending on the universe currently visited, so I will put M as a general threshold.

So, this is what it has come to.

On the busy streets of San Fransokyo, a man named Dan was contemplating his options.

On one hand, he could get out now. Get out of the business, live a normal life, get a stable relationship and a nice house, maybe even get into eSports.

On the other hand, he was needed. His destiny was to help, explore, and see the world(s), and if he chose a simple life, he would not be satisfied.

He walked slowly, towards the Tech Institute. He had some friends there fixing the portal gun he "borrowed" from someone…

"Agh-god-hugs-why-"

"You are nervous."

"Stop it-"

"Will it improve your emotional state?"

"Yes, just get off of me."

The giant, inflatable, cuddly health robot known as Baymax unhugs Dan, and accompanies him the rest of the way.

"Hey, do you mind leading me to where Hiro and the rest are situated? They said they'd fix something of mine."

"Will it improve your-"

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Just go."

"Follow me."

The only sound between the two, or in the entire facility for that matter, was the tapping of Dan's shoes hitting the floor as they approached the room. As they got closer, another sound slowly faded in-the people working on the portal gun. Baymax opened the doors, and as he did, the sound became slightly overwhelming.

"You have a visitor."

Dan popped out from behind Baymax.

"Hey guys, how's the portal gun going?"

A larger, dark-skinned man, known as Wasabi, responded before anyone else.

"Almost done!"

At that moment, the one known as Honey Lemon, a tall blonde female, shot the gun at a wall, making a nice, green portal open up.

"And there it is! All done! Now all we need to do is call Dan up and get him-"

"Honey Lemon." The one known as Hiro speaks from a couch, his relatively short body being mostly obscured. "Dan just got here with Baymax."

Dan walks in, shrugging and sitting on a spare stool.

"Thanks for everything, guys, but I unfortunately must be off. I bid you farewell!"

Honey Lemon tosses the gun to Dan, which he catches, albeit with a tad difficulty. He shoots the wall and waves goodbye, which everyone returns.

On the other side is a parking lot. It has a few cars, as well as 3 cartoons who seem to be waiting for Dan…
