Stiles would follow Lydia in the corridor, holding her coffee or trying to catch up with her to discuss multiple things, yet she never knew his name, nor made an attempt to talk with the lovestruck boy. He'd talk about her all day long, how her hair was the colour of a red sunset and her eyes as green as new-grown grass. The whole rant being within ear-shot of the girl it was about. Yet she never paid attention since Jackson was busy showing off to his friends and she had to smile and listen as her boyfriend stole the spotlight. Stiles made her see that she should show off her smarts, and that she'd go far in life. Everytime she walked into a room his eyes would light up as if he had saw ultimate beauty for the first time.
"Remember what it feels like, all those times in school when you see him standing down the hall, and you cannot breathe until you're with him. Or, those times in class when you can't stop looking at the clock because you know he's standing right out there waiting for you… don't you remember what that's like? Allison asked as she looked at the stars through the car windscreen.
"...no" Lydia replied, voice shaking slightly.
"What do you mean no? You've had boyfriends"
"None like that"
And she was right. Because it wasn't a 'boyfriend'... it was a Stiles.
