"With a hint of pesto aioli?" I ask playfully.
"Yes, Fitz, of course there is!" Simmons laughs.
She hands me the sandwich and begins to tidy up. I watch as she methodically puts everything back in its proper place. She's just so cute - which only makes what I am about to do even easier. I wait until she isn't holding anything and then reach for her arm and gently spin her around so she is facing me.
"Fitz! What on earth has gotten into you?" she exclaims.
I blush. "J-Jemma..." I say slowly, internally cursing my stutter for ruining this almost perfect moment. "I, uh, I have..."
"What is it, Fitz?" she says, growing concerned at the expression on my face.
I can't find the words to answer, so instead I slowly drop to one knee and pull out a small black box.
"Jemma Simmons, w-will you marry me?" I ask, looking up into her beautiful eyes.
Without even a moment's hesitation, she throws herself onto me in a giant bear hug. Her force knocks me to the ground and we both lay there laughing.
"Of course I will, Fitz!" she says excitedly.
I grin and try to put the ring on her finger, but that proves to be an impossible task as she is still on top of me. "Um, h-here's your ring, Jemma," I say, handing it to her instead.
"Oh, Fitz, I love it!" She leans over and kisses my cheek, causing me to blush even more.
Just then we hear a noise behind us and turn to see the entire team crammed in the doorway. Skye squeals and runs towards us, then helps Jemma up before enveloping her in a tight hug. May, Hunter, and I just watch in amusement as Skye begins planning our wedding (occasionally interrupted by Coulson). "Congratulations, Fitz," May says, giving me a gentle hug.

I know it's short - I actually wrote it in 10 minutes as my English warmup this morning, so not much time to expand. I just felt like it was too cute not to share! If you couldn't tell, FitzSimmons is my OTP. =P
