Alvin and the Chipmunks

A Hero's Final Breath

Prologue: Noah Seville, 17-year-old Irish-American superstar, was arguing with his girlfriend, Annabeth Miller. "Look, Annie, I didn't kiss her, she came up without warning and adhered herself to me. I swear it." He said. "Save it, Seville. This has happened 45 times, too many. I don't believe that they were all coincidences." Annabeth said. "Annabeth, listen to me, I love you, and I always have. But girls may want to get close to me. It's the life of a super star." Noah shot back, his heart racing from the strain of arguing for an hour.

"No, that's it, I'm done. Noah Thomas Jagers-Seville, I'm dumping you…once and for all." Annabeth said. That did it. The strain on Noah's heart, combined with the pain of losing his girl was too much for him. His heart just stopped. He fell to the ground and moved no more.

Noah's POV

I know it sounds sad, but I didn't really die. I used my Green Lantern ring to disperse an invisible gas that stopped my heart. I planned to scare the living heck out of Kelly Horatio, the girl who kissed me at my last solo concert, as a lesson for messing with Annabeth and me. My brothers, the Chipmunks and Annabeth and her sisters, The Chipettes were in on it.

Anyway, I was rushed to the hospital and was pronounced Dead on Arrival. I heard Simon pretending to sob. "I can't believe that you killed my brother, Annabeth. I swear to you, you will never be welcome in my house as long as I still breathe." He said. I could tell that Annabeth, Simon and I thinking the same thing. "This is gonna be hilarious on the Christmas Party gag reel!"

At my funeral, I was put into a glass coffin and covered with spices, as what I wanted. I heard my friends and family say their final words. "He always defended me from bullies and loved my food. Rest in Peace, Noah." Theodore said. "For the last 4 months of his life, he was my close friend. We always were there for each other." Jeanette said. "Whenever I baked an Irish dish, he'd make a joke and say that I stole his family recipe. He always had a smile on his face…good-bye, my friend." Eleanor said.

Simon was up next. "Noah, Jeanette and I always hung out in our basement lab. I was very proud to be his brother when he created that elixir that cured our grandfather's Arthritis. I loved him, ever since he came to us 3 years ago today." Simon said.

Brittany spoke next. "Though Noah and I never really got along, he was a sweet young man. And even though I poked fun at him, he was nice enough to knit me a sweater last Christmas. He is in a better place." She said. "Now's the time." I thought. My coffin glowed green…and my ghost rose.

Actually it was my astral form projected by my ring. Simon pretended to be surprised. "Noah, is that you?" he said. "Yes, Simon, it's me. Because I died with a broken heart, I am at great unrest. I must get vengeance on she who wronged me." I said. Annabeth pretended to cower in fear. "Please, Noah, have mercy. I was wrong to dump you." She said. I held up my hand. "Calm down, Annabeth. I don't blame you for my death. It was not your fault." I looked into the crowd of friends and schoolmates. "It was Kelly Haratio's fault. She kissed me in Annabeth's full view."

A green aura enveloped Kelly, lifted her up and brought her up to my ghost. "You ruined my life and you have the nerve to show your face here at my funeral." I said. Kelly bowed her head. "I am sorry, Noah. What do you plan to do to me?" she asked. "I place the Anti-skill curse upon thee. Since your skill is cheerleading, because of this curse you have lost your skill in this sport. Now get out of my sight." I said.

As Kelly left, my "ghost" merged with my body. I opened my eyes and blasted out of my casket. "Ow, my neck. Well, that was fun. You think any girls will try that again?" I asked. "Naw, we don't think so." My family said. We were right. No other girl tried to kiss me.
