You Used To Know Me
"Yugo!"
The Synchro duelist looked away from the utter destruction his counterparts Yuya and Yuto were causing to Academia's forces, to see her running towards him with a huge smile on her face. He blinked in a stunned manner as she reached him and hugged him hard.
"Yu-Yuzu?"
The girl in his arms froze and pulled away, looking at him with a betrayed look in her eyes. Yugo laughed and tried to hug her back when she stepped back, causing him to laugh even harder.
"S-Sorry... Rin... it's a been a while."
"Yes... yes, it has."
They didn't speak much after that as Rin managed to grab one of the soldier's duel disks (they let her keep her deck for some reason) and began to help out her counterparts in taking down more of the Academia.
But Yugo knew that things weren't fine, for the fire that was usually in her eyes was slightly diminished now. He wanted to hit himself. And he would.
After they finished with the Fusion Dimension once and for all.

"Rin... I'm sorry..."
"I know."
With a grin, Rin reached out for the newly washed clothes and dumped them into Yugo's hands.
"Be sure to hang them to dry and that they don't get accidently dirty... again."
"Yes, sir." Yugo pouted but went to do as told. He would repay her for the slip of tongue in any way he could think of - and he wondered why he felt a shiver run down his spine at that thought.
For Rin was thinking about his best eggs and ham, that he would make her for breakfast the next time she woke up in her warm bed, safe and sound.
Cause Yugo is a silly goof and yada yada... and I see Rin as someone who wouldn't take his 'funny' moments in stride, he would need to work a bit to make it work again. And the headcanon that Yugo is a great cook :D
I find that realistic...
