Mobilize the troopers!
From the beginning. This is where we start. We will show no mercy, give no quarters, and above all, prove that we are worthy or the codename SPARTAN. I look up to see the chief looking up at me.
"I hope I'm doing he right thing, entrusting you with 24 Spartans."
"I will not fail."
See to it that you don't. We're staking an unimaginable amount on this. Do you understand trooper? We are staking; we, as ONI and I: are staking 25 super soldiers and the second most important planet of our civilization. Do you understand trooper!?"
"Sir, yes sir!"
"Good. And remember, watch your six. I'm with you all the way."
The chief walked away to James and Linda and conversed quietly with them. I hope I'm ready for this.
The 24 Spartans I had been given command of stood to attention when I entered the dropping area. The ODSTs turned their attention as well.
"You know the drill time to get digging!
"Ooooraaaahhh!"
The ODSTs swiped up their Automags and Silenced SMGS and settled themselves for a combat drop. Just as Keyes entered the dropping zone.
"Are you sure we can trust the shock troopers with this Noble One?"
Before I could answer, the ODST commander, a certain gunnery sergeant whose name escaped me, turned on Keyes before he entered his pod.
"We go feet first, sir!"
With that he boarded his pod. Keyes left with a blank face.
"Lets get moving! 320, get that sniper rifle. You're going to need it."
I grabbed my battle rifle and assault rife from the rack as the other Spartans began distributing weapons among themselves. When we were finally ready, All in pods, I took a deep breath and looked down at the carriers assembled against us.
"Troopers! We are green, and very, very mean!" Shouted the Gunnery Sergeant.
"Super troopers! Let us prove our honor!"
And without further ado, we dropped into hell: Feet first. And then the covenant looked up to see our judgment raining down upon them, and they knew now that humanity's fire is not so easily extinguished, and that the combined force of SPARTAN and ODST would leave them broken, left to rot in the underworlds of their precious artifacts.
"Do it Noble One."
"Yes sir, Master Chief!"
