No one knew this, but the Doctor was in shock after Adric's death. He'd often disappear into the depths of the TARDIS for days at a time, often to cry. During the time he disappeared, he wouldn't eat anything at all. At one point, Nyssa had tried luring him out with Jelly Babies, yet that didn't work, he didn't even consider it.

"We've got to do something to help him," Nyssa sighed.

"Couldn't we see if he survived somehow? It's been a few weeks." Tegan suggested.

"Maybe..."

There was a knock on the door and Nyssa pulled it up on the monitor. She glanced down the hall the Doctor had dissappeared down three days prior and sighed before answering. Her eyes went wide as she stared at the young man in front of her.

"Adric?" She asked, shocked.

Adric gave that impossible tiny smile as Nyssa hugged him. The sudden hug hurt but he didn't mind. She pulled away and Tegan ruffled Adric's hair, smiling brightly.

"Hello, Adric," she smiled a bit, voice low.

"I'll go get the Doctor," Nyssa smiled.

She headed off into the corridor and followed the sound of sobbing, coming back several moments later followed by a sniffly TimeLord who was very reluctant to open his eyes. Adric knew this was his fault almost immediately.

Nyssa sighed and drug the Doctor behind her to stand in front of Adric. The Alzarian boy instantly placed his hands on the Doctor's shoulders, wanting to comfort him. The Doctor was shaking badly. Adric took a deep glanced and looked to Nyssa, who motioned for Adric to pull him close. Adric did as instructed, pulling the shaky TimeLord close, noting his knees buckling from exhaustion, Adric lowered him to the floor, rubbing his back gently. He carefully brushed some blonde hair from the Doctor's face, noting the tiredness in the Doctor's expression.

"Doctor," Adric murmured softly.

The Doctor glanced up at him and wrapped his arms around Adric, burying his face in the Alzarian boy's chest, sniffling.

"I love you," he mumbled," Don't leave again."

Adric's cheeks burned a bright red and he held the Doctor close as he dropped a kiss to the top of the TimeLord's head.

"Don't worry, I'm not planning to," he whispered," I love you too."

The Doctor smiled a bit, falling asleep in Adric's arms. Adric gave a tiny, awkward smile and moved to get comfortable, shifting so the Doctor's head rested in his lap.

"He's not slept in weeks," Tegan reported.

"Hopefully he'll sleep then," Adric murmured, his voice soft and caring.

The Doctor mumbled in his sleep and curled closer to Adric. The Alzarian smiled a bit and carded a hand through his blonde hair and allowed the other to rest on the TimeLord's shoulder carefully.

It was noon the next day when the Doctor woke. Adric was nowhere in sight and the TimeLord feared a halluscination. Adric came into the console room with a cup of tea in hand. and knelt down in front of the Doctor. The TimeLord pulled him into a kiss, smiling a tiny bit. Adric froze but kissed back gently before pulling away.

"I love you," the Doctor repeated quietly.

"I love you too," Adric whispered, offering the Doctor the tea.

The TimeLord smiled and accepted it gratefully.

"Sleep well?" Adric smiled.

The Doctor sipped on the tea and nodded a bit. Adric smiled and kissed the Doctor's forehead, sitting next to him. The Doctor rested his head against Adric's shoulder.

"This doesn't hurt, does it?" He noted the bandages.

"No," Adric gave a tiny smile.

"You're not telling the truth, are you?"

"I am, you don't need to move," he getly kissed the top of his head.
