A/N: Inspired by a line in kawaiichoconeko's fic Dear Shooting Star, Grant My Wish and the lending of Karma's notebook to Okuda that happened in that story. (Please do check it out!) And then I proceeded to dig up manga and the anime for research. xD I am not an expert so forgive me for any mistakes/wrong analysis.

Sharp. Straight. Each stroke was precise, as if the owner was wielding a knife itself. They were carefree, dancing upon the blue fences that endeavoured to keep them in order, yet the lines were clean and confident. Each move had struck their target with deadly accuracy, engraving channels of black that contrastedly greatly with the white-coloured victim of assault. The pressure applied behind them belied the seriousness with which it was produced, as opposed to the owner's usual relaxed attitude.

'Like research has shown, I suppose it is indeed true that they reveal personality traits,' she wondered absentmindedly to herself, as she traced each curve and each line slowly. Wide spacing. That meant that one enjoyed one's freedom and didn't like to be crowded. Well, others might have thought that he was too unrestrained for his own good but she knew-knew that it was all a facade. He was always on guard, alert to any danger that might present itself to him. It was only when he was with her that he relaxed a bit, lowering that wall he had constructed around him and offering her the privelege of the slightest peek into his personal space.

Her finger continued to wander down the carved trails. Each character was pointed. Studies had shown it meant that the owner was...

Aggressive.

Intense.

Intelligent.

Curious.

The corner of her mouth quirked. That suited him to a tee. After a slight pause, her finger resumed its roaming.

And so, on a hot summer's day, Okuda sat alone in her room, tracing Akabane Karma's handwriting in the notebook that he had lent her.
