The Effects Of Blissful Ignorance
She was barely awake anymore.
All that she could remember were the finals of the Friendship Cup as the announcer lady shouted the names of Yuya and Yugo. Just when she decided to cheer on for both of them and how she knew that the best one out of the two of them would win in the end, it happened. There was no sudden noise, no sudden movement, no big changes as the sky opened up above their heads, several monsters pouring out of the gapes on the previously clear blue surface.
Hiragi Yuzu couldn't even scream as one of them swooped down to grab her, distant sounds of protesting that she knew came from her friend (oh ... Serena...) and the cries of both Yuya and Yugo as they were taken away. The next thing she saw when she woke up was the leering face of Yuri, as he cheerfully waved at her from his crouching position before standing up. Yuzu's eyes widened when she noticed Serena laying on an operating table (or something that looked like one), her bracelet dangling from her bleeding wrist. The usually fierce and protective girl was unconcious (or at least, that's what Yuzu hoped was the case, because otherwise...) as Yuri and a man whom she had never seen before circled around her, talking about something under their breaths.
When the man raised what looked like a knife, with clear intent to slam it down into Serena's ribcage, Yuzu screamed loudly. She didn't want the other girl to be hurt because of her, she ...
"Oh, Yuzu-chan..." she watched as Yuri moved around the table to greet her chained form. "... I'm sorry for being rude and not asking, but would you like to be first?"
A scream filled with horror at his implications rose in her throat like bile before a blinding pain resounded in her head and she knew no more.
