A/N: I've been in a bit of a 358/2 Days mood, even though I've never played it myself. But I realized, the reason why Roxas freaked out in Castle Oblivion had to be because he could feel Ventus and Sora. I mean, it's very likely that Roxas has Ventus's heart inside him too, since Sora seems to have so many hearts. XD Either way, I hope you enjoy my take on it. :)
Roxas curiously entered the castle doors and the white that suddenly surrounded him almost blinded him. The floor, the marble columns against the walls, everything seemed to be made out of ice because of the unusual color.
"So, this is Castle Oblivion?"
As he walked along, he started to feel strange. It was as though he'd been here before. But something didn't add up and he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was exactly. Wasn't this place supposed to be warmer, filled with sunlight and laughter?
Suddenly he felt a sharp jolt of pain in his head, as though his skull was being pierced open by a chainsaw.
"Roxas!?" he heard Axel's faint but startled cry behind him.
At this point, the blonde could barely stand on his legs anymore. He swayed back and forth, clutching his head with his hands. "My...my head!"
"Easy, man! Let's retreat for now and-"
"I'm fine!" Roxas yelled, sounding angrier than he intended. "We have to…find Xion…"
Before it was too late.
Roxas was reliving memories containing a red-haired Xion and a familiar-looking silver-haired boy. The scenery changed out of the blue into him looking up at a brown-haired teen who held a friendly sparring match with a pretty bluenette.
Roxas fell to his knees, because he couldn't take the pain anymore. "Wh...what's happening?"
Axel ran up to him and knelt by his side, his gloved hand resting on his shoulder. "Roxas!"
He saw so many pictures at the same time, memories of this place, memories of a sunkissed beach, all blurred together into a nonsensical chain of memories. So many unfamiliar faces, so many different places that he'd never been to.
"So much…rushing into…my head…" he muttered, but he knew that Axel wouldn't understand.
The guy probably thought that he was losing it. Maybe he was...
Axel then hauled him up on his feet again, which he barely noticed.
"Let's get out of here for now!"
"No, wait…" Roxas protested weakly, but he could feel how Axel had already created a dark corridor. "There's...something… I can...almost…"
He needed to remember this. It was at the tip of his tongue...
Aqua... Terra... Master Eraqus... I'm here.
Riku...
Where do I...belong?
That was when he passed out.
